He's not a bad rider. I even thought he might have done well on a tough flat stage like this.

Decent TT for us. Serpa losing only 1 spot, and Contador holding onto his. 5th place here before attacking hopefully makes something better for us in the next stage. Would be good to get a podium here.

Not a great result for us, should be as quick as Plaza, but oh well, 7th will have to do.

You are more than welcomed to trade Tenorio for Plaza next season

As long as Ardila is having a better Giro than him, then answer is no

Ive learnt to never expect huge things from Intxausti, so Im happy enough with 6th overall heading into the mountain stage. And not far from the Top 5 aswell, should he choose to ride well.
Bit of a surprise that Stundzia beat him - seems as much a brilliant TT for Stundzia as a lacklustre one from Intxausti.

Although I didn't go into in the report there was less wind for the earlier riders than the later ones. That said all of the top 25 on GC had similar conditions.
But for riders like Barton and Bibby to enter the top 10 on that stage they had the best of the conditions as did Coppel really.

Didn't expect much from Sinkewitz, and the mountains obviously don't suit him too well either. Anyway, let's hope for Schreurs to go for the mountain jersey. |

good to get the stage win on the tt, Phinney has been solid so far. Nice ride from Barton as well.

Not a good result by Plaza. If he performs like this in La Vuelta we are in some real trouble.

Stupid California, 7th is useless, would have been on the podium with out the split.

I like the aggressive riding of Hugenhaben and Pedraza even though it didn't pay off. In the end really crap GC results.

Stupid decision to send Schumacher here, and I knew it was a bad idea when I was filling out the race planner. Oh well, Marquez put out an awesome climb, his first top-10 result of the season. And 3rd in the young riders classification is not bad at all, I'm expecting big things from him in the Vuelta

Join the club. I always knew Keizer wouldn't climb with the best, but cmon, he's better then some of them ending before him on the stage ...

Great stage!
Intxausti showing good mountain form ahead of the Vuelta to overtake not only Contador but Plaza. And despite being held back on some stages, a top climb here sends Iglinski up to 11th. The double act seems to be working well ahead of the Vuelta - where Samwel will join them to make it a triplet.

I dislike yours more!
Madrazo, Tenorio, Arroyo, Lopez Garcia AND Valls. Youre going to destroy the field. I just hope to do my best to keep up!

I had to, I was scared that otherwise I would lose too much time in the TTT and those are all my best TTers (bar Lopez Garcia, but that is just for fun)
The whole point was to destroy everyone, claiming 3 in the top 10, with the overall winner. You having multiple strong riders threatens that strategy.
It will be interesting to see whether Madrazo does better with a stupidly packed team in the Vuelta, or with no support at all in the Tour.
