Damn it. After not being able to make the split, Gesink also misses the stage that suited him the most and he isn't even in the best 20 at the moment.
This race is the exact opposite of what happened last year.

Much like anticipated this was a good stage for Contador and Dees. Too bad they have already managed to piss it all away. Top 10 here will be very difficult unless we see a real explosion in the mountains. Gaining 3-4-5 minutes on good climbers is just unrealistic.

Strong TT from Uran. Please dont let him wait when Mehr-Wenige gets dropped!

Top 5 looks very realistic here now, which would be a good result for Arroyo.

Acceptable result by Dekker. Winning (what?!) is not impossible... |

Nice! Kritskiy up to 6th, Scarponi 20th, those kind of GC positions will suit me fine!

That was looking really good, until Arroyo collapsed at the end, top 5 will be tough now.

Fantastic ride from Dan Martin, just a shame about the time loss earlier on.

Same with Keizer and Spilak. Seems the ones missing the split aren't even trying anything.

You might be right there. There's a good chance that Ten Dam is my team leader now.

Ah the bliss of Wiggle riders over-performing. Wonderful.

Some real quality riding from Contador here. Nicely done! I'm surprised to see Serpa climbing up the rankings. Didn't know I had him here
Too bad the gaps didn't explode entirely, as they seemed to do for a brief moment. I need Contador to try again tomorrow in order to get time back. But it's very nice to see that he can really push on the likes of UrĂ¡n.

Good to see that Uran didnt hold back and really went for it. A shame that he couldnt match Contador all the way and faded towards the top - but the route was never going to mean huge gaps gained anyway so to have managed to get into the GC Top 10 after the random split stage is good.
Really sucks for the likes of Jack Wolfskin and B&O though. Game screws them once (amongst others) by the random mass split miss, and then game screws them over twice by then allocating team leadership elsewhere.

A rider of mine is leading the race? Unbelieveable!
I was getting quite nervous, though, when Dekker decided to wait with attacking, but it turned out great, so no complaints from me. |

Probably if you'd said to me at the start of the race Rogers would be ahead of Spilak at this stage, I'd have been quite excited. |
