Okay, I updated the Team Presentation.
I didn't put as much time into it as I will with David, but I think it gets the job done, and I made a signing, so you may want to see who it was

Nice signing in Stauff, it would have been a shame if he stayed without a team for the season.
And you're absolutely right: The presentation gets the job done I even think it's a pleasing change from some of the excessive presentations currently around (not that I don't like them). Nice looking, straight to the point, everything in it that needs to be said
One question though: I guess you target the Ardennes with Rodriguez? It would fit with the Vuelta as the second goal and you can spontaneously decide whether to ride the Giro or not.

Thanks! He's one of my fav sprinters so I was surprised to see him as a free agent. I signed him right away.
Glad you agree with my presentation idea. I just want to get to the racing
Yeah I forgot to mention J-Rod will target the Ardennes classics for sure, so thanks for reminding me.

18.1.12 Tour de San Luis - Stage 1
San Luis - Justo Daract
The stage is quite flat, and it being the first real competitive race of the year, I expect it to go down as a sprint. There are a few top sprinters here, like Kittel and Degenkolb so the competition will be fierce.
An early breakaway is formed. The group includes Kritskiy, and later they are joined by 9 other riders. Its always nice to have a rider in the break, because these big ones can sometimes stay away.
They reach the KoM sprint, and Kritskiy had wanted to snatch top points, but was caught off-guard by the other riders. He holds for 3rd, but Montonari and Palomares beat him.
Later, the breakaway is caught, and Kritskiy returns to the peloton to help in the sprint train for Paolini and Stauff.
With just over 3km left in the stage, the Sprinters teams have their team trains formed. Project 1T4I have their two sprinters ready, but they are a little behind Katusha and the lead train.
But that doesn't stop Kittel from taking the win! He was the favourite to take the stage, ahead of Paolini and Manan so his win is no surprise. Great ride by him, and good job to Paolini for rounding out the podium for us.

That's with the David story I think
Indeed very nice start with Paolini in San Luis. Caruso should show something with best form, will be interesting how the next stage plays out. Good luck

@ Sutty - Thank you!
@ Fcancellara - Yeah, Kittel and Van Dijk are both strong, and I was happy to get 3rd
@ Ste117 - Thanks! I like Menchov too. In a different career that I simmed his Mountain stat grew to 80 by the start of the Tour so hopefully he can in this too, although its random potential here!
@ Teddy - I was thinking about it, but I've realised I'm pretty good at editing so if there is anything that needs fixing I can do it. Plus some fixes are savegame compatible.
@ Alakagom - Correct!
Thanks, I hadn't noticed. If it wasn't for his TT stats Spilak wouldn't be leader at all, so you could be right.
@ SN Hadn't even noticed that.
Well its a drink
Thanks, I'm quite happy that it works now, although it was quite an easy fix so I wish I'd have found it sooner.

19.1.12 Tour de San Luis - Stage 2
La Punta - El Trapiche
The stage starts out fairly flat, but the finish is very steep. It should favour the climbers, or puncheurs. A breakaway is a lot more likely on this stage, than it was in the last, but the climbers may want to show what they've got and get an early win under their belt.
The stage started off with Simon Spilak taking a fall. Obviously not the greatest of starts, but there doesn't seem to be any breaks or serious cuts so he could continue on with racing.
The breakaway had a stronger group than yesterday, headlining it was Esteban Chavez the hot climbing prospect from Colombia. However just after the final Sprint Point the break of the day was brought back thanks to Astana at the front of the peloton.
With 9km to go, on the small hill right before the final massive hill, Trofimov makes an attack for Katusha. This is a great tactic from Katusha who still have Spilak, Caruso, Brutt and Vicioso left in case Trofimov's move fails.
Trofimov starts the climb, and he can see the peloton just behind him, over his shoulder. He starts to pick up the pace, and gain an advantage. With 4km left he has a gap of over 1 minute. This move is looking good for Katsha's first win of the year.
But then Gasparotto attacks fro Astana. Brutt is made to follow his attack, but not assist in the chasing down of Trofimov. It doesn't really work as Gasparotto gains enough to stay away and possibly catch Trofimov, while Brutt 3rd on the road has cracked.
But Trofimov holds on for the amazing solo win! What a perfect time to attack for Trofimov. Just when the peloton was sitting back before the climb, and then used his climbing ability to stay away! Katusha will remember this win for a while! Good on Trofimov too, who hasn't won anything major in a while! Gasparotto 2nd!
Brutt holds on to 3rd place! Great ride by him. Katusha setting themselves up nicely for the Team GC, and Overall GC with 2 riders in the Top 3 now!

Amazing screenshots! I've honestly never seen anything on the same level. Most of them looks almost real. Awesome job!
Nice start too! Trofimov looks like a man for an overall result.

Great start so far! Although, with a decent squad, Tour de San Luis can be relatively easy to win. |
