Can we pleaaaaaaaaaaaase get rid of Pat McQuaid. Leave him behind in China, or something like that.

As if getting rid of McQuaid would change anything...

Then it will go as in every sector: also the new boss wants some things the teams or riders don't want. Starting a new organisation, out of the UCI, willcause the same problems in a while....
I don't care about it...

You say another president wouldn't change anything? For example look at how much the relationship between UCI and ASO has changed since Prudhomme is the boss. The relationship between the teams and the UCI is at such a low point and McQuaid is for a major part responsible for UCI's attitude.

If I follow your logic we have to ignore the problems caused by a president, because another president will maybe cause new problems? We first have to solve the problems right now and afterwards solve the problems which might pop up.

There are thousands like PMQ behing him, but that'd still be a good riddance.

What did change when Verbruggen stepped down? When you're dealing with a corrupt organization, you can't just expect that changing the leader is enough. As if arresting a narco would make his cartel disappear.

Would it be a good riddance? Yes. Would anything change? Surely not.

Unless you can predict the future, you wouldn't know.

Verbruggen supported McQuaid as candidate...

Where do you start? Better at the top than at the bottom and I never said it would change everything, but saying it wouldn't change anything is ridiculous

Exactly. And do you think that McQuaid's successor won't be backed by Pat?

The changes that actually changes things are more often than not from bottom to top, rather than top to bottom. McQuaid's just a reflection of how rotten the UCI is.

What are you arguing about? First get rid of McQuaid. And if his sucessor is bad, then get rid of him too.
Really, what speaks against getting rid of bad people.

Elections? I hope it won't be Tchmill though Pfft.

I agree with you about how corrupt the UCI is and getting rid of McQuaid is in my opinion a good start to solve the problems.

The priority should be getting rid of the problem rather than changing its face. Wink

However, I didn't say McQuaid should keep his place, did I?

In this situation the face is part of the problem. You said replacing him wouldn't change anything and that's the point I doubt.
