Seems like Marinangeli is like Bennati irl, always behind someone. |

Great teamwork by the guys! This 2nd place should secure the Points jersey. Sagan should be able to keep on to the Youth jersey, and if he does so, I'll be counting this as a succesfull race.

This has been a great race for both Venchi and Unicredit so far, with two competition wins each, pending any disasters. Just the GC to be decided, really - the last TT will be very exciting. I think Boom may just do it.

Seeing Larsson and Nordhaug finish safely in the bunch was good. Larsson didn't use energy on attacking/sprinting, meaning he should be more fresh than Boom for the time trial, hoping for a podium on the TT.

Just spend all your energy, Sanchez.
27s will be as close as possible on a 16km ITT. Couldn`t be more exciting between both. Just happy there was no crash today and nice sprint by Boom.
Hermans missed the top 10 the first time in Algarve. A bad sign for a top 10 GC? |

Can't wait for the TT, I want Reus to climb some places now. This looks like being the weakest race for me (placing wise) since I had Marzano lead a hilly race (using Flügel in Paris-Nice)

This last stage was much more interesting than I would imagine. If it weren't for Venchi's efforts LLS could have made a gap and gone for a 2nd stage win which would be great before tomorrow's TT. But in the end when Boom went for the sprint I got scared. If he had made it to the bonus placings it would have been game over for Cerne.
So bring that last TT already! .... well on second thought, let's just end it here shall we?

This TT should be very interesting. From my rather optimistic perspective, I see Koren passing Pelizotti, Weening and Visconti. I don't think catching Kiryenka is entirely out of the question either, though that should be a tight finish. Reus will undoubtably pass Koren on the GC, and probably win the stage. Ignatiev is a mystery though. Will his apparent injury affect his run at the stage win? Or will it be business as usual? (I honestly don't know, I haven't played PCM since 2007 )

Great fight by LLS for the win! Congrats! Roturn won't be too disappointed with 2nd and two more riders within Top-15, I guess Great reports, Smowz, as always!

A race we can be happy with! Managing a top 10 in the GC is also nice. Now I'm looking forward to Corsica.
Edit: Oh, and fantastic reporting, Smowz!

Thanks smowz, great to read.
And yes, yet another disappointing race for us. I also foresee a really crap cobbled season where the break wins most of the time.

Great reporting Smowz!
Larsson with a great effort there, 8th overall is a little bit disappointing, especially as he was only 15 seconds behind 4th, I'm not totally satisfied. Roux was a massive disappointment, definitely hoped for something better from him. Nordhaug's 12th though, was great. All in all, an ok race for us, with brave breakaways.
What CT race will you report next Smowz? |

You are totally right.
A 2nd season win and 2nd in the overall with an pretty impressive Boom is just great.
Sanchez did one of his best time trials ever, so he totally deserves it, although it was pretty close in the end.
Was a good start with one of my leaders, so hopefully he can bring home many other wins. |

What a result, I'm stunned. Luis Leon's TT was really a fantastic effort, I couldn't be more proud of him. It's a shame that Ignatiev couldn't be present in the discussion of the race, but as he'd probably be the strongest rider, I'll just have to accept I was lucky.
Congrats to roturn as well. Boom performed at a really high level here and he could just have sneaked this win from LLS. Anyway being the runner-up can only be considered as a very good result for Rothaus, and as I was only interested in the 1st place I think we'll all leave this race with a smile.

Yet another exciting race finale, and great reporting Smowz.
Congrats to Cerne for the win though. Loads of teams had a really good run here, mainly Rothaus, Venchi and Unicredit, so the points should be interesting afterwards.
