I thought this was a prediction topic, not a wish list topic. |

I would love to be wrong on this, but I think too many are too positive on Boasson Hagen's chances in the Worlds. He ended the Tour in great shape, and eventhough he has had a cold after the Tour, he continued his good form in Eneco, and he will most likely continue on a high, in France and Canada. And with a good shape from mid July to start September, I will be very surprised if he's in great shape in the end of September too, that shouldn't be possible.
A shame about Breschel, it looked like he was building "the perfect form" for the Worlds, and it would have been great to see a Dane winning in Denmark. Freire might also be a dangerous man, he certainly has the experience, and with Cancellara focusing on the RR, the race should be wide open. For Norwegian/Hushovd's chances, I hope for rain, which should make the race more selective.
TT:
1. Tony Martin
2. Bradley Wiggins
3. Bert Grabsch
RR:
1. Fabian Cancellara
2. Thor Hushovd
3. Peter Sagan |

TT:
1. Cancellara
2. Martin
3. Who knows after those two, DZ is a good guess but he's still hurting so not sure...so I'm going on a limb here and going to use my RR champ and say Boasson Hagen gets up for the TT also.
RR:
1. Boasson Hagen
2. Sagan
3. Hushovd
4. Cavendish
5. Farrar (depending on form after Vuelta Crash), Insert Gilbert otherwise.
Wild Card: Kittel
That baby uphill at the end seems to Scream for the two youngsters to win it. Followed by a great veteran and then two very solid sprinters. Be on the watch for Kittel though, the man is simply on fire right now and if his current form carries hes going to be very tough.
I really think this plays hard against Gilbert in his normal attack 4-5K out, on a normal day he might just have an HTC sprint train to get away from, but in this there is likely to be 5-6 sprint trains he will have to separate from, too much to ask for.

If you want the complete truth about the route, you need to go to this site:
https://www.danskebjerge.dk
There is an extensive analysis - including an English version - with all the details. Among many features there is a height profile that is more accurate than the official one.

RR: Cavendish, Boassen Hagen or Hushovd for the win... and I have a feeling that Cancellara will take either bronze or 4th place.
TT: Martin ahead of Cancellara. |
