I was getting really excited when I saw the lead out but my guys just faded. I've raced for only 2 days and already my guys have had 2 I'll-advised leadouts. That's quite frustrating. Still, at least it shows Van Loocke is supported.
Breaklaway tomorrow hopefully!

The next stage will come in the next 15 minutes (we're broadcasting from New Zealand ). I made a few changes with the screenshots (thanks to Roturn, he was very helpful) so I hope you could expose your opinions about it.
EDIT: Sadly, it becomes very small thanks to the forum resizing, but if you open the image you can see quite well.

The images are fine, imo
Congrats to Flügel! Too bad (for me) that Rapha did such a nice job holding down the break

Great job from Flugel and bad luck for Froome there.
My best placed rider was more than 9 minutes back. There are points for being last in the team classification, right? Right?! Seriously though, I didn't even get in the break today.

A good effort from my three hilly specialists there, was fairly lucky to get a little 10 secon bonus which given two short flat stages are very nice indeed. Two stages down and a solid showing with a 4th on stage 1 and a 3rd/5th and a lead in the teams. We travelled with a budget airline carrier from Australia to New Zealand they subsequently misplaced out helmets. We responded by going old school, the originals were never found but we had new ones shipped over!
Obvious winners are Flugel and Froome, though VolksWagen will have to defend on stage 4 and the question is do they have the team for the job? It looks a harder one to control and a lot more riders are well down in GC. Shocker for Gasparotto there, he got into a horrible position.

Congrats to VW! Unlucky for Rapha, having controlled all day.
I think, given the company, 10th in GC is pretty good for Mandri, and 13th for Richardson isn't bad either. Hopefully they'll hold on to it.

Not totally happy with Salerno in 16th, but I guess I can't expect much more than that from him.
Congrats to Heine!

Congrats to Flügel and also nice to see that Rapha had a better tactic than Bianchi in a similar situation.
Pretty happy that Novak was again in the break. so a bit disappointed that he didn`t even tried to get more KoM points. Always pretty weird to see the KoM leader in a group but not figting.
Still happy with Hermans 8th and 6th overall. Just a little bit unlucky that the gap the the Kirchen group was that small and behind there was no gap for many riders. So same time from 6th to 20th now.
Also Iglinski did quite well as 21st. Seems to be a solid helper in the hills.
Stage 4 should suit Hermans much better and I expect an attack there, his plain stat should help him there. |

It seems that Wegmann didn´t attack because Devenyns, Barta and Fahnert were doing the pace
At least the victory stayed within a German team, congrats to Flügel and Heine
I´ve got two leaders jerseys and Wegmann is 3rd with the chance to catch Froome and with some luck even Flügel but more important is to keep the position. That´s not bad, and with 4 riders in the top 20 i can be satisfied.
I also hope for the team classification although Jayco - Red Bull is very strong with Kirchen and Mori.

As soon as Froome attacked, this stage was a success. Top effort by Anguilet and co to chase it down, 2nd is a good result for Froome, more so the time gained on those behind. A shame Appleby lost ground, but still 5 in the Top 30 is good.

Yeah. It was good to see that the team can have two leaders if the finish is definitely too hard for a sprinter. In Down Under it could have worked for Ciolek, here definitely not. |

Btw, I hope Brenes/Anacona/Pfannberger will be able to hold the peloton somewhat together... They can let go when Flügel attacks :-p We know he will do it ;-)

I always thought Flügel would be a crazy attacker as I mixed his 80 downhill stat with his 70 fighting stat.
Obviously he also mixes the stats and attacks in every race.
I wonder if Hermans with 76 fighting is attacking to get a top5 on stage 4.
Other than that I am happy for Flügel. I really wanted him in my squad. |

I think the German teams and especially the riders should share the wins. Wegmann didn´t attack on stage 2 and gave the win to Flügel
On stage 4 it´s Wegmann´s time

I have to take Cherel's crash on the chin. It could be a blessing if he can go for something special on stage 4. Not really a good day at all with Wegmann now well placed ahead of my GC duo.
Strange sprint really with Trilux taking control and hilly sprinters dominating one that looked more suitable for flat sprinters, I guess yesterdays climb may have sapped the strength of the non climbers.
Stage 4 no real ideas how this is going to work out, the climb looks steep with an uneven plataeu and not much of a downhill. Could be very hard to control really.

Glad to see Rizza up there in 4th. It's just too bad he started the sprint from such a bad position, otherwise he would have challenged for a podium. Still a good result.
