Brown getting third? How many times did you have to replay for that? (Yeah, it's a joke :-p , I think third, on a stage in a stage race, was the best he did for me last year...)

Nice start to the season. Second is still better than completely failing, which could have been possible with that strong field.
I'm a bit disappointed by my other sprinters. Without participating in the sprint preparations, no energy was left for them. Surely a point to improve, especially when we see Pokerstars securing more points than we did today with their best rider in 8th.

154 points for me
Really happy with the work my team did, and the sprint train we formed to get the victory.
And now its time for Davis' to not win anything else and the season to go totally downhill lol |

Ah, missing the Top-5 by two places... Baden looked good at some points in sprint.. though it's not a bad result, I can't be satisfied with failing our first season goal (Top-5) Congrats to our Aussie-friends Davis and Brown! They made our fans so proud!

Rankings
2 one day races completed, and already 22 teams are off the mark, a good effort all round! Not racing here means unsurprisingly Rapha Condor - Qhubeka lose the lead, but remain 3rd, ahead of Hollister who celebrate a winning start.
The Top 2 teams are those who have performed well in both races, and again Vespa just miss out on the top spot - Ciolek's performance here leads Bianchi into a narrow lead.
1 | Team Bianchi | 211 | 2 | Vespa - Aprilia - De Rosa | 205 | 3 | Rapha Condor - Qhubeka | 196 | 4 | Hollister Pro Cycling | 153 | 5 | Jayco - Red Bull | 115 | 6 | Team Puma - SAP | 103 | 7 | Pokerstars.com | 100 | 8 | Team Bpost | 83 | 9 | Team WWE | 79 | 10 | Cyclevox | 70 | 11 | Oz Cycling Project | 61 | 12 | VolksWagen - Siemens | 48 | 13 | Aker Solutions - Bergans | 46 | 14 | T.CS Bank - OJSC Rosneft | 43 | 15 | Team Trilux - Falke | 26 | 16 | Cerne | 22 | 17 | Emu Export | 18 | 18 | California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized | 14 | 19 | Saab-Scania | 11 | 20 | Meiji - Fuji | 7 | 21 | Ferrari - ERG | 6 | 22 | Koppert Cycling Team | 5 |
Only Quinziato took points in both races, and at this stage, no surpise that Ginanni and Davis top the table.

Great result from the Aussies here. Obviously for David, but especially Brown!
Congrats Hollister!

A thing I noticed when I read through the report thoroughly:
"...Puma SAP, the Italian team in brown..."
Neither are we an Italian team (7 Frenchmen, 4 Germans, only 2 Italians; sponsors from Germany), nor do I see the slightest bit of brown in our jersey
Could you specify the intention you had when writing this sentence, Smowz?

cio93: Gah, no defence clearly the team are not 'Italian', though it perhaps is an easy misconception to make with Gaspa and Bennati as two of your chief leaders! Guess I should call Puma 'European' then.
Your jersey did sort of look dark brown with the yellow and white mixed with black. I will just call it the Puma train from now on I think I am interested when will we next see Bennati?
I can say it was a nerve racking race to watch, when Sutton attacked I was like wtf are you doing, but Brown did brilliantly to come in on the podium. Cooke desperately unlucky not to nab one of Ozcycling's goals, going to be tough for them at the Tour Down Under to get their WIN goal there. But I think that the Brown/Cooke wheelsucking battle will continue in Mumbai perhaps.
Congratulations to Itt, though as he says this was the highlight of Davis's season last year should be able to push him on from here, starting with the Tour Down Under. So typical from Pokerstars that even when the main sprinter misfires they still get a mammoth points haul from numerous high placings!
Perhaps for me having watched so many crappy pcm09 sprints it was brilliant to see a really decent sprint that made sense. Though some second level sprinters were not present at the end admittedly.

This, I am so excited for sprinters results being rational.

Just finally got a chance to read this, after my laptop died yesterday, and I must say: YAY.
Somewhat surprised by Vaitkus' 4th place, but that means our first goal is completed. Really pleased by that
