Dutch Eredivisie 2011-12
MitchNL
Thanks Vitesse for f*ckin' up my day... Roda played well in the first half, but the second it looked like Vitesse played againt some Topklasse players. 0-0 at halftime, 5-0 at the final whistle.

So, tomorrow the big match everyone is talking about here: PSV - Ajax. I will bring a live report of the match tomorrow, for the people who don't have Eredivisie Live Smile. Anyone else excited for it?

In the end I think 2-2 is a good result for Ajax.

PSV hammered Roda 7-1 today. 12 goals conceeded in 2 games for the Kerkrade side. Ouch.

And something related to this, but slightly not at the same time, Wolfswinkel kicks ass. Pfft

Big hit for Twente today, a draw against Heracles in the derby of Overijssel. Twente led till the last minute, when Lerin Duarte made 1-1. Also a draw at Heerenveen-RKC, a beautiful goal from Gerald Sibon led to 1-1. Roda won an away match (IT IS POSSIBLE!): NEC was defeated with 1-2. And then PSV. The Eindhoven side wins 1-3 over De Graafschap and passes Twente for second.

Ajax loses 2 almost secure points at home against NAC Breda. Sulejmani and Boerrigter made it 2-0, but in the last 5 minutes, it were Santi Kolk and Robbert Schilder (wonderful strike!) who scored for NAC to make it 2-2 in Amsterdam.

Time for Ajax to get a new coach.

Feyenoord must have big confidence now, Vitesse got smashed with 0-4. Man of the Match was John Guidetti with 2 goals and an assist. FC Utrecht keeps struggling for a spot in the left row, but with a 2-2 draw against ADO Den Haag, they don't come far.

FC Groningen keeps doing well, the white-greens won 2-1 over relegation candidate VVV-Venlo. Last but not least: Excelsior-AZ, the last-placed against the first-placed. It was 0-0 at halftime, when referee Kevin Blom decided the fog was too heavy to play the second half, so the match was discontinued.

Nah. I still have faith in De Boer. It's just that our defense is ridiculously bad this season. What makes it even weirder is the fact that the same defense conceded the fewest goals last season.

Edit: BTW what's the poll about?

Right then. I haven't seen any Dutch League games involving Ajax, only against Feyenoord, so it was a statement based on the last couple of matches. Pfft

For some reason, the poll title wont work...Sad The question is: Who do you think is the best Eredivisie player at this moment?

Number one AZ stays clear of the rest: thanks to a Rasmus Elm free-kick and a strike by Johann Gudmundsonn, the 'Cheeseheads' defeat FC Utrecht: 2-0.

Rasmus Elm is very good this season isn´t he?
Haven´t seen any game just read what the newspaper write about him after every match.

Today in swedens 2 biggest newspaper it says that Man Utd may want to buy him in January, sounds a little to amazing?

Elm is doing great, he already scored 8 times in 13 matches, and all goals came out of free kicks, penalty's and corner kicks.

His agent says that Elm is the 'hottest' player for transfers in the Eredivisie and that there is interest from the bigger clubs in Europe, but he won't say anything about the interested clubs. The market value of Elm should be around 10 million euros.

PSV keeps following AZ on an impressive way, FC Groningen was defeated with 6-1. It was already 3-0 at half-time, thanks to Kevin Strootman, Dries Mertens (league top scorer with 12 goals) and Zakaria Labyad. The second half opened with a Georginio Wijnaldum goal, followed by a goal from Gronigen, made by Niklas Pedersen. Tim Matavz scored the 5-1 against his former club. And if that wasn't enough, Ola Toivonen made it 6-1, so the Eindhoven side stays 3 points from AZ.

SC Heerenveen is in virtual fourth after a 2-2 draw in Breda against NAC. Filip Djuricic made a wonderful solo to score 0-1, but NAC led at half-time thanks to a strike by Anthony Lurling and an Ramon Zomer own goal. Eventually, rightback Daryl Janmaat brought a point to Friesland.

Roda is on it's way to the left row: the 'Pride of the South' wins with 3-1 at home against Heracles Almelo. After a disappointing first half, Mads Junker scores two goals in two minutes (66 and 68). Willie Overtoom scored a penalty to bring back a bit of hope for Heracles, but immediately after that, Junker assisted Sanharib Malki, who made his 8th goal of the season.

De Graafschap seems to come out of the relegation zone soon after a 1-2 win over VVV. Michael Uchebo brought the number 17 at front, but Rydell Poepon made it 1-1 with a quarter to go. In the last 3 minutes, Yuri Rose became the hero of De Graafschap, when he made 1-2.
