Hagen made a fair point in an interview with norwegian television, thinking that HTC might not pull breakawayriders on Champs Elysees, to win the green jersey. It's an interesting thought, but I doubt they can let this stage go.
Can't wait for the racing on Champs Elysees, will be fireworks. Also nice to see the 1 minute silence before the start.
this is..this is . I do not believe that. HTC will go flat out to get Cavendish 3rd. final stage win..(can not forget last year when he was absolutely flying pass Thor).
And what Sky rider can now about HTC sprint plans, Martin will be pleased after TT win..to give last kick to help Mark. |

Ultimately, Rojas hasnt shown any sign of beating Cav in a full on bunch sprint, so Id expect HTC and Cav to go for the stage
If Cav win he will be histroical aswell. So i guess they will go for it. And SKY will try to go for attacks on Champs, if they don't succed. Edvald will be the last one on their lead-out train.

If only Rojas would get this "I'm a sprinter" nonsense out of his head

So, what is Rojas then? Yes he can climb, but not brilliantly. |

He should be like Hushovd and EBH. Care less about the sprint and focus on the harder stages and break aways. Then you can actually win something. Hushovd know that now.

That's the problem. He had success in youth categories to a level that no spanish youth rider ever had. As a result he turned pro at 19 with one of the best teams in the world! And he had this success because he's good at many things.
But the guy who is good at many things as a youth turns pro and places well in a lot of things but doesn't win any. While the guy who is VERY good at one and just one thing as a youth turns pro and still wins at that one thing.
So Rojas had to pick a specialty. He picked sprinting, but it's just not on. He'll never be good enough at any one thing to win regularly.
Kind of like Costa. He won't ever be good enough at one thing to win regularly either, but as a youth he was awesome because he was good at a few different things.

Maybe a little harsh taking into account that he is second in the TdF Points competition - albeit a select competition this year but none the less. |

Here's the thing. Voigt once declared he was amazed that Rojas could be so good so young.
That was 2006. He hasn't improved.

I'm don't know that much about Rojas but he seems to to quite well in the sprints. I mean Cav seems to be in his own league but compared to the other sprinters in this TdF; he seems to do OK. But yeah - he hasn't been close to winning yet. |
