I think Tony and Fabian are the favourites. We didn't see them in the last days. So they tried to save as much energy as possible. |

Remember Evans never attacks. Even when he attacks, he's not really attacking. Also he never put the pace of the group he's in. If you see Evans leading his group is only because he's sucking an invisible wheel.
Brilliant
I seriously hope Cadel wins the TdF, especially since he's the lesser climber yet this TdF edition has the least TT km's I've ever seen... It's really going to be tight tomorrow. What's the time gap between each start? 2 minutes? |

So Tony, Fabian or will we have a surprise tomorrow. Westra? Evans? Velits? Leipheimer? Contador? Malori? Millar? Porte?
Problem with Tony & Fabian is that they might have to do the TT in worse weather conditions than f.e. Contador... |

I think it is safe to say that Danny Pate is going to walk away with the TT tomorrow. I predicted that he would win in today's stage, but I guess he was still saving energy for today because I didn't see him. Anyways, people seem to forget that he was the World U23 TT Champion.

That usually happens when you dont win a TT for a while.
Still I wish him the best.

Maybe the wrong way to tackle this, but looking at the last TT result I can find on Andy, I find one in Vuelta al Pays Vasco where he finished 25th, losing 1min53 to Martin. Martin did the Grenoble TT in the Dauphine in 1,718x his Pays Vasco TT, so extrapolating this gives a difference of 3min14 between him and Martin. Evans lost 1m20 in that Dauphine TT to Martin, so that gives him 2 minutes better than Andy.
Alas, comparing the TT of Pays Vasco and Dauphine is a bit silly yet the profiles are quite similar (Pays Vasco was only 24km though and not 42...)

So was Thomas Vaitkus the guy who can sorta sprint and nothing else.
Point being, results in youth races a million years ago mean nothing. For three reasons:
1. Riders develop differently
2. Different generations have different quality. Pate beat Sebastian Lang and James Perry (who?) to the win. Not exactly an awe-inspiring field
3. He's from your hometown, you're biased

Rolland has ranked between the 55th and 80th place this year in the I.T.T. he did. With such rankings you can never know if he gave everything, but certainly he has some limits in that discipline.
Taaramae is rather cruising between the 7th and 20th position.
Convert that to the length of tomorrow's ITT and that's a 2 to 5 minutes loss predicted for the Frenchman. |

Not sure if it's too long for him but Thomas did well in this TT in the Dauphiné and he is in serious form at the moment. If the conditions are good and he wakes up with good legs, he could do something tomorrow.
Well, at least I hope so, but then I would being unbelievably biased towards Brits.

I have a serious question, concerning my bankroll :-)
Is Samuel Sanchez gonna crack top6 in the overall classement?

Will Van Garderen ride for full or rest for the next day? It's for a manager game. |

He is 1'09 behind Cunego, right? I don't know about Sanchez but he is an decent time-trailist while Cunego, usually, is crappy. Sanchez could gain 1'09 on Cunego but this is after 3 weeks so it's impossible to say and I don't want to blow you on your money either.
However, if Sanchez gains 1'09 on Cunego, Evans will probably win the Tour.

A friend told me that Rolland said he needs 2 minutes in the tt to hold on to white. So.....Taaramäe in white! If Rolland isn't just playing with me, if so then bad Rolland.

He's 0'51 behind Cunego, and 2'12 behind Voeckler. He should beat Cunego and maybe has a shot at Voeckler? |

Last year:
STAGE 19 - Bordeaux Pauillac 52 km
1. | CANCELLARA Fabian | 13 | TEAM SAXO BANK | 1h 00' 56" | | 2. | MARTIN Tony | 115 | TEAM HTC - COLUMBIA | 1h 01' 13" | + 00' 17" | ... | 35. | CONTADOR Alberto | 1 | ASTANA | 1h 06' 39" | + 05' 43" | ... | 44. | SCHLECK Andy | 11 | TEAM SAXO BANK | 1h 07' 10" | + 06' 14" | ... | 166. | EVANS Cadel | 121 | BMC RACING TEAM | 1h 11' 53" | + 10' 57" |
Everyone is saying that Cadel has better skills in TT than Andy... but, this is the "last" stage of the Tour for the GC... and recovery and energy I think are more important.
Last year... everyone said that Contador will take more than a minute to Andy... but there were only 27 seconds between them. Contador was only 12 seconds in front of Andy...
This year I think Andy will defend yellow jersey...
I like all cyclist... dont have a favourite if there is show!!!
They say that Cadel doesn't attack... but I don't think so.
It's easy to say that when you don't ride a bike during the TdF...
Lucky us to have this amazing TdF with full expectatives for this TT and also the green and white jersey are not secured.
My pred:
Stage: F.Cancellara
GC: A.Schleck
Green: M.Cavendish (and all the out of bounds riders)
White: R.Taaramae |
