Tirreno-Adriatico: Stage 3
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-3d.jpg

With Nicolas Vogondy we got our man in the front and with 20km to go they still were leading by 2'45".
With 5km to go, beside Vogondy, Kai Reus was in the break. The peloton was coming very fast from behind and Nicolas had to do everything on his own, Reus didn't helped on the relay Frown

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-3a.jpg

The sprint began and Vogondy has been caught with 2km to go. So we had to concentrate on our Plan B
Or better known as Romain Feillu who was in good position this time at the flamme rouge (I hope I spelled it correctly Grin)

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-3b.jpg

It was not enough for a win, but we got a 3rd place. Finally!!! After a long time and a disappointing Paris-Nice we got a solid result. And again it was Feillu who managed it. I'm really proud with him

The stage tommorow finishes with a quite long climb to Isola 2000, and Masciarelli is looking good so far. Let's hope we won't be disappointed tommorow as we were after the first mountains at Paris-Nice Wink

Tirreno-Adratico: Stage 4
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-4d.jpg

Here we are, the mountains are waiting and our guys are ready to get some good results. None of us was in the breakaway because we knew we would have no chance.
As the final climb started there were a lot of attacks, one of them was stared by Fränk Schleck, the world champion. We decided to wait because there were still 10km to go.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-4.jpg

4.5km later we have seen enough and Masciarelli attacked
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-4a1.jpg

While Fränk seemed to be unbeatable Masciarelli could keep a high pace and was passing one rider after another.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-4b.jpg

While the world champion was celebrating his win, Francesco still had 800m to go. Unfortunately he couldn't gain some more positions in the sprint. But it is still a great result that makes us smile again.

Managers comment:
"I would say that we are back in the game. Yesterday a solid 3rd place by Romain, today a top10 result by Francesco. After a disappointing Paris-Nice we have shown that we can keep it up with the best in the ProTour, even in the mountains. The race is not over yet, but we can be happy with our performance so far."

Paris-Nice: Final stage
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/pn-8a.jpg

On the second climb of the day there still was no breakaway group and as we have seen that also Jens Voigt attacked we decided to follow him with Chris Sorensen. This was our first attack today and it worked. We were in a 16man strong breakaway group with Chris.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/pn-8b.jpg

On the last climb we put on a high pace and just Marino came over the climb with Sorensen.

In the meantime the yellow jersey attacked out of the peloton while his team was in front Grin And then one attacked followed the other

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/pn-8c.jpg

and the favourites (Valverde, Kirchen, Lövkvist, Menchov,...) came closer and closer to Sorensen and Marino.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/pn-8d.jpg

With 5km to go Chris attacked and hoped he won't be caught in the final 2km like Vogondy was Grin
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/pn-8e.jpg

He had strong legs, a green flash and wasn't caught!!!! Chris Anker Sorensen won the stage!!!! Finally a good results also at Paris-Nice Grin

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/pn-8f.jpg

and also Gonzalo could defend his KoM jersey, without doing anything today. Reda tried to attack in the first few kilomters, but hte pack gave him no chance Grin

Manager's comment:
"After a really disappointing Paris-Nice we finally got our result. We may not achieved the goal of winning the green jersey, but we won a stage and the KoM jersey. So the sponsors shouldn't be unhappy. I'm very happy that Chris showed today his potential and I'm confident he can show even much more."

Tirreno-Adriatico: Stage 5

I will be really short with this stage. HTC has done everything to catch the breakaway and we had a mass sprint.
This mass sprint reminded me a little bit on this years Tour, a real clash bewteen Cavendish and Greipel
Feillu leads the group with all other sprinters and is again on the podium Grin

In the GC everything remains the same Wink

Manager's comment:
"Not quite much happened today on this flat stage. Romain had some troubles again with finding and especially keeping the right wheel. But if you take a look at the result he has dona again a great job. Tommorow is the most important day for our team. A flat but with 19km quite long time trial where we could lose some positions. Let's hope for the best Wink "

Tirreno-Adriatico: Stage 6

A flat and 19km long time trial. Our weakest discipline and the last chance to get some positions in the GC.
Nothing interesting happened for a long long time. But then we saw the first little suprise of the day. Kunitski got the leading position with a time of 24'42"

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-6b.jpg

With 8 minutes behind in the GC, Wiggins had no chance for a improvement, but he wanted the stage win and took over the lead with 24'07"
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-6c.jpg

Alberto Contador, 16th overall wanted to get into the top10 but had a disappointing day, he lost +50s to Bradley Wiginns.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-6d.jpg

Our best man was again Moreau, with 1'13" behind. So he lost just 23s to Contador Pfft
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-6e.jpg

Linus Gerdeman wanted the overall win, he had to close the gap of 1'47" to Fränk Schleck. He set a good time with finishing just 2" behind Wiggins
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-6f.jpg

Also Mesciarelli had a good day, he lost 1'33" and is now 9th overall. So we got our man in the TOP10.

But Frank had a solid day and lost just 1'26" to Wiggins. So don't say the Schlecks can't win races with TT Grin Grin Grin

Manager's comment:
Another time trial is behind and I think we are getting better and better in this discipline. With Francesco in the top10 our goal for this race is reached. Tommorow is another flat stage with a mass sprint and everything should remain as it is. So after this race there won't bu much racing, except Milano-San Remo. Stay tuned Wink

Tirreno-Adriatico: Last stage
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-7a.jpg

A flat stage around St Benedetto Del Tronto should not bring any suprises to the GC. The sprinters will fight for the red (points leader) jersey.

A small group of 4 riders escaped quite early and their lead was growing and growing. With 30km to go they still had over 13minutes!!!! Because Giordani would overtake Mesciarelli in the GC with such an result we started chase them.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-7b.jpg

With 17km to go other teams joined us and their lead was sinking rapidly!!! And then it happened, a crash in the peloton....again. Bennati is on the ground, Pozzato and also Rein Taaramae.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-7c.jpg
So many crashes already this year, just unbelievable Frown

The group in front splitted up and Ongarato won the sprint in front of Giordani. The other two escapees were caught from the sprinting pack. So Giordani gained just 1'44" today and wasn't dangerous for us anymore Grin
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/tir-7d.jpg

The best sprinter in the pack was again Greipel and because Bennati crashed today he took over the red (points leader) jersey!!!!

A damn long race where you think you went already 100-times for the bottles in the team car Grin
Here is our team for this race

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/mil-1b.jpg

27km to go and Allesandro Ballan attacks out of a very fast peloton. Our guys are happy to keep the pace so far and he is strong enough to attack.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/mil-1b1.jpg

With 15km to go Ballan is already more than two minutes in front, despite the damn high speed in peloton, this is crazy
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/mil-1c.jpg

10km to go it happens again, a crash in the peloton. Wegmann is on the ground, the guy that Romain Feillu should follow. He had to slow down and lost his good position, but at least he avoided a crash Frown

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/mil-1d.jpg

Ballan was just unbeatable today and won the primavera with a strong solo in the last 27km of the race. The sprint of the pack is won by Bennati.
i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu81/chuftek/mil-1e.jpg
JJ Rojas was our best man on the 27th position. God knows what would be possible if Wegman wouldn't crash and stopp Feillu and Ista Sad

When I clicked export results the game crashed, but I can tell you the top10:
1st Ballan
2nd Bennati +2'43"
3rd Pozzato s.t.
4th Boonen s.t.
5th Cavendish s.t.
6th Duque s.t.
7th Geslin s.t.
8th Ivanov s.t.
9th Elmiger s.t.
10th Burghardt s.t.
27th Rojas Gil s.t.
