I have riders such as Samuel Sanchez, Damiano Cunego and Cadel Evans for the placings just behind Gilbert. Obviously Vinokourov will try something aswell...
I do believe Cancellara will be locked, in helping Andy and Fränk not losing time to Evans.
I have a few riders on the top of my head aswell, what do you think these guys will do?
Voeckler, G. Thomas, Vanendaert, Horner, Taaramae and Pineau?

I hadn't even checked the road before. the second third of it uses a lot of my former training road. The Côte de Laz is a killer one, the Tour du Finistère passes there frequently as well.
The roads aren't too narrow I think, so a breakaway will have a hard time surviving. I'd say it's for Gilbert again, or at least a hilly classics rider. |

Vanendert will be helping Gilbert, so don't expect anything from him.
The finish will be too steep for Thomas, Taaramae and Pineau too I think. Maybe Taaramae can stay up front if he's in good shape.
That leaves Voeckler and Horner as actual threats for Gilbert. I don't think they're strong enough to beat Phil, though.

I know Vanendaert will be helping Gilbert, but couldn't that help him get a good position? I believe he did quite well in some of the classics, didn't he?
I'm basically looking for riders for the secondary positions. I don't think too many people believe that Gilbert will be beat tomorrow unless some escapee get's too much time.

Terrain for Sylvain Chavanel?

Vanendert won't be the last man before gilbert (like in LBL and other races). it will most likely be JVDB.

Ah yes. Totally forgot him... Obviously, he will be trying to get as close to Gilbert as possible
Some betting sites have Matthew Goss as 3rd lowest odds... Do you believe that? Also Hushovd and Rojas is pretty high up.

Terrain for Sylvain Chavanel? I wouldn't be surprised to see him in an early break, yes. The route should suit him perfectly, although there are stronger riders than him in the Tour. |

Of course... But just to get an idea of who we might see in the attack. I have a bet for him and perhaps Kern in the attack tomorrow, but then again. Stage 5 might be more suitable.

Too steep for those 3 guys, imo. I think they'd only stand a chance if the first 2km of the Mûr (i.e. the steepest part) isn't ridden hard.

So you don't think they could end up in the top 10 in order to fight for the green jersey?

Goss on Mur de Bretagne, are you kidding me? Ok, SotD, if you are betting money on tomorrows stage, than I advice you to not bet on Matthew Harley Goss.

It will mostly be between puncheurs. This off course if the first km of the climb is ridden pretty hard.
though OPL have a strong enough team for that so i see an evans, gilbert , or other alike winning.

Contador needs a confidence boost. And also needs to gain some time back. I wouldn't rule him out completely.
But yes, Gilbert has to be the overwhelming favourite. |

I'm not. It was for my manager game, so if he could finish top 10 he would be a good rider for me. And seeing 2 of the 3 betting sites I have visited have him in top 5 then I just assumed there might be some truth to it.

Yeah, not for Hushovd tomorrow, although I'm sure the fanboys will be here soon...

Probably... I just remember he winning in Montjuic in 2009 and I thought that may be he could try to hang on and fight for the sprint... but 6,6% in 500m is not the same as tomorrow mur. |

Evans and BMC will probably do everthing to shake him off.
