Well the game looks ok! But it's a Tour De France Console game so will have to get it!
Anyone seen it in any UK Stores at all?? Will have to wait for it to come down in price though not worth 30quid without a proper career mode behind it |

looks good, but i dont get the idea of controling one rider one day and another one the next ,how can u stop your previous days rider from dropping time if u now control someone else? example, petachhi one day then scarponi, wot if scarponi loses time when your controlling petachhi?

Got the game from Amazon today. Played the first stage, first few sections were like watching paint dry. But the end is quite fun, I was Sky and I was using Gerrans and you have to get your guy positioned for the sprint. I was using Flecha to get me to the front and then I unleashed my sprint 300m out and only Freire and S. Sanchez beat me. Pretty cool.
Then, while loading the TTT, guess what, it froze and I had to turn my PS3 off. Cyanide |

Well I like the game very much, very realistic and good graphics. My only - point is : it is not full realname; no way to solve it I think? |

A PSN version for the US will be available sometime during july, depending on when SONY decides to accept the game (is a separate process for Europe and America unfortunately) so i guess you will have to wait. It is not sold on retail on the US.

Which part of ireland do you live in ? Have you tried stores like Game or Gamestop ?
Official release date is today, 1st of july, so some stores may be still unpacking the game. Do not hesitate to ask the guys to see if they received it already.

Is a risk you take. You have to decide whether you want to fight for several objectives (like green jersey with Petacchi + Stages victories) or you just want to focus on a single objective like playing for the Yellow jersey.

Flat stages are not that fun to play, that's true, specially the first part of the stage, but that is true to TDF in real life too. We are working on improving that part on the title-update.
About the freeze, do you happen to have a PS3 slim ? Another user reported on cyanide's forum something similar but on all our tests (and those from sony) this issue never arised. We would really need to have more info to see where it can come from. |

Unfortunately not. Unless some form of DLC wit real names on is released, which is very unlikely, Schlick and Schlack will be taking it to contador in the mountains. As well as Evens and Ven Den Drouk of course |

No, I have an original PS3. It was when the stage profile was on the screen and the loading icon stopped. The music kept playing for a while but then that stopped aswell.
The only thing I don't like about the game is the controls. Unless you keep pressing circle you drop back and that is really annoying when you're trying to position yourself in a sprint. Wouldn't it be better to have the same system as PCM where you pick a rider to follow and you sit in their wheel unless you get forced off. |

While you are here, aroda.. You really need to something about the camera angles. The overview is rubbish at best. |

Each stage takes about 45min-1hr depending onthe importance of the stage. You press the sprint button (x on PS3) to start the sprint and then you just have to mash that same button for however long the sprint takes (about 5 seconds, unless you go for a suicidal one from 1km out ) Sprinting's good fun though. You have to manually control the positioning of your rider, so I was just sitting on Boonen's wheel, and obv. you save energy by doing that and then launch your sprint whenever you want. |

I've played 7 or 8 stages with Rabobank so far, flat stages all took about 30 min, going into mountains now.
Disagree on sprinting though: you can get enough speed by pressing and holding the normal "speed up"-button (B on x360), while you make sure that you don't go out in the wind too early (by trying to get "stuck" behind another rider) and trying not to use up any of your red bar. Then at about 700-500m from finish, just press and hold the sprint button and you should be fine. When you haven't built up enough speed already though (meaning you're not giving it enough effort) it takes a lot longer to speed up with the sprint button so maybe in that case you'll have to mash it, otherwise you definitely don't.
I won 2 stages with Freire so far and I'm 2nd in points, only because he did terrible at sprints when I was controlling another rider. But then again, I guess most of the other sprinters lost too much energy while going uphill 1-2 km before the finishing line. Great stages so far, should be fun to watch on tv, just like the "flat" stages in Tour de Suisse with interesting finishes.
Oh, and the geame really is a lot of fun so far, I must admit (and my hopes weren't too high). Anyone else love going downhill? I did manage to crash when not paying attention for a couple seconds but managed to catch up with the peloton again on the way down.
edit: by the way, it's Schlock, not Schlick. And Evins.

Is it possible to skip some area's in a stage so the stage is not during 30 till 60 minutes but for example max. 15 minutes?
Thanks for your answer. |
