It is a hint. The Cyclingtips.com author isn't that fond of Armstrong, although he doesn't hate him like most do. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah yes, Armstrong's famous weight loss that he blames for his transformation from guy who can't TT or climb, to Tour winner.
The weight loss that we now have medical exam data to prove never happened.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

He was sick the entire Giro, his team asked him to pull out and he refused. He's probably regretting that right about now.
Christ, that guy's got some balls. He's shown he is a tough guy and he has the talent to do very nice things. He'll become a great riderr... that is if he doesn't kill himself in the process!

The Italian Federation has decided to temporarily suspend Riccò because they are concerned about his health.
I think I've never seen an athlete being banned for this before, but in this case it sounds like a good idea. |

Carrara didn't make it in the Giro and I don't see it happen in the Tour. I think they originally wanted to ride a GC with Devolder, but he's got a very bad season atm. I don't see Vacansoleil scoring big in the Tour, maybe some breakaway succes.

Ricco isn´t banned, the Italian Federation just takes the necessary steps tp protect his health. One has to prove that one´s health allows to do serious sports to get a license. Quite useful rule

According to De Telegraaf the names in bold are going to the tour if they are fit. The others are reserves.

Its definately something we will need to keep a close eye on!
My plan is just to get there as soon as possible on the day. And if they dont let me on Box Hill, Ill go as close as I can - at the end of the day, anywhere on that circuit is still the best place to watch the race, as you see the riders 9 times.

Did you think that Tyler Hamilton and Lance were never going to speak to each other again? Because you thought wrong. Not that was intentional of course.
Apparently, Hamilton was in Aspen (Lance has a second home there and spends a lot of time in the town) with some friends who took him out to a bar that is well known as one of Lance's favorite hangouts. They thought Lance was out of town, but he wasn't, as Hamilton was returning from the bathroom and had his way stopped by him.
According to Hamilton, Lance "wanted to go" and started berating him (consistent with the Lance we all know and love), Lance meanwhile said that he said "What's up man" and they looked at each other awkwardly before going to their respective tables. The owner of the place is a good friend of Lance's, so she went over and told Hamilton he could finish his meal, but then would have to leave.
Am I the only one who would have loved to have been there? It would have been hilarious.
