Can anyone explain why I didn't put Gatto in the options for the bet? I was sure I had, but apparently not. |

Wait. Was that Kristoff 4th? If so, it's the weirdest thing I've seen, the man can't climb. Even I'm going faster than him on climbs longer than 3 kms.
If that was Kristoff, I apologize |

Someone had +5 form of the day.
Edit: He's even 5th
Yup, seems like he has a surprisingly huge development uphill this season, which means he's "Wiggins-style"-underrated in every DB now.
The gravel roads also help, as in Eroica he has had some decent results, most recently with a top-10 this year.
I don't want to pinprick, but that punch was a clear sign, I guess.

No, then Petacchi would win. (And if the pace was slower, with no attacks, then Cavendish might still have been up there)

On a stage where Contador comes 2nd, you think Kristoff is suddenly a top sprinter because he came 4th?

Great final kilometres off the stage. And a perfect attack from Gatto, the teams without the biggest guns are having a nice Giro so far. |

Appollonio tried to follow Contador ans wasted energy then also he started sprint much too early. If not that he should got podium. 11 DB should have some changes to him too

Contador attacked. If you see who Kristoff beat in the sprint, you will probably change your mind. |

Wow, Contador was the last man I had expected to attack today. I don't care, though, as it made the finish really exciting. If Contador can't follow Gatto, then I'm curious to see how he'll do tomorrow when Scarponi and Nibali are attacking.
Nice win for Gatto, he has been strong here at the Giro.

It was first good performace Kristoff this Giro. On other two spritner stages he wasn't in top 10, ( one of them was hilly one - he didnt come in peleton ) I don't think one performace would qualify him to elite
