Yeah, but that's the overall classification. On stage classification, Voigt is 6th:

My bad
Geraint Thomas hit the front at 1km to go and rode the HTC train clean off his wheel! He didn't get passed by the pack until 250m.
Great ride by him

Don't think that was the intention tho'. Perhaps a good show of his form then, that Martin couldn't keep his wheel. |

Getting up at 6:30am here in the states to watch this stage was a good choice. Very nice finish. |

Superb race by de Gendt. Peloton really miscalculated the strength of the 3 in front there.

This stage turned out to be much better than expected. I hope this keeps being this way. Very goo race by the De Gendt, Roy and Voigt. |

Biggest loosers today are Urán and Mouncotie with 8'33" minutes back. Though it gives Urán chance to go for a stage win.

Uran crashed together with David Lopez and another rider.
So not sure if he is lightly injured. |

Amazing, De Gendt actually won something.
Nice

Just finished watching a todays stage. De Gendt need to thank Voigt..Jens give a lot to keep then out there. Also inside final km..without him some sprinters would have taken it.
Taaramäe blog:
I talked with Jens in the morning , who was present among the runaways. I asked, well, you're ready? To Paris-Nice race has always been his type of race. In response to acknowledge that the form is the shit, is not prepared for a lot, I am less fit, etc. ... After FINISH I told him that he could make he's own comidian show.

That was an amazing stage, well done to De Gendt.
Geraint Thomas hit the front at 1km to go and rode the HTC train clean off his wheel! He didn't get passed by the pack until 250m.
Great ride by him
Yeah a good show of form, but poor tactical play. If he had just held back slightly he might almost have dragged them back. |

Yeah a good show of form, but poor tactical play. If he had just held back slightly he might almost have dragged them back.
And if he had held back, and then fully committed, he could maybe have done a Cancellara/Compiegne style move! (Maybe )

Paris-Nice: Stage 2: Montfort l’Amaury - Amilly - 199km
The stage had big cross winds thoroughout, especially at the finish apparently, so looks to be another intresting stage.
Breakaway established already @ 1min:
Yoann Offredo (FDJ), Maxime Bouet (AG2R) and Tony Gallopin (Cofidis)
Moncoutié abandoned with knee problems.

De Gendt took a long sprint there for 1 second when nobody else gave a monkeys.

and.... Fränk Schleck crashes... surprise.
Anyway, De Gendt has 10 seconds on Haussler now so it still means Haussler will overtake him in the overall if he wins, doesn't it? So that means that it was kind of pointless to go for that bonus second. |

Was less of a sprint, and more like a small breakaway.
F. Schleck crashed, hopefully not injured at all. Doesn't seem it. |
