Aww. Hopefully no injuries! I feel for the captains there. Madrazo went down it seems, but both Contador and Ardila stayed up for now. And a good result from Lavoine...
Fingers crossed, that this was the only bad crash of this Tour.
You know it will be more, next time it's Contador :-p

Don't say it. The game will jinx him.

Might be only me Smowz, but isn't it spelled Boonen and Greipel? Dunno if it's intentional or not
No offence, Smowz, but I have to second Heine here
Anyway, interesting stage. Still a complete no-show by Philips, but that's a good thing. |

So without Sieberg, Van Stayen is lost. And now he is 19 points behind Bennati in the race for the green jersey.

Gah my spelling of names is horrible, I really need to get better. You know Bennati is the real blighter, Bennetti, Benati, Benneti, Benatti etc.
Actually my spelling in general is bad, but as I write the reports in word I usually get corrected.

Agreed, writing the break of the day takes me forever as a have to check almost every name in the info box. It's the worst part of racing

Ill pretend I read the whole stage, but as soon as you said significant crash, I just skipped to the results to make sure it wasnt Uran So try to avoid putting 'spoilers' at the very top of the reports
Bennati seems to have re-found his sprint mojo though, and Boonen doing nothing when Warner Bros desperately need him to, could be sending his team down if Spilak doesnt score heavily.

Exactly. It seems to be a very interesting Tour on so many different levels. If we take out the top and the bottom team there seems to be a battle for every single position in the bunch. Relegation battle intensifies, as do the podium battle, and the top 5-top 10 and so on...
The Tour will probably shake the entire rankings list up by quite some changes :-)

The start of the TdF is really surprising me. Corioni has already finished 4th and 2nd while Echarri has been pretty active in the breakaways. I have to be honest, with such a weak squad I wasn't hoping for that much. Let's hope it keeps this way
and Smowz about the spelling, it's Energie-Diesel and Café de Colombia. Nice to read you reports though, your insight of the Man-Game works really well with your enthusiasm in the reports, just try to correct the mispellings plz

Personally I don't give a shit about the misspells as long as it's understandable, and it definately is. So i'm enjoying it very much, KUTGW.

143 José Angel Gomez Marchante Café de Colombia + 3'14
Did he fall or is he just saving himself for an assault on a stage win and a KOM jersey? (I wish) |

Yeah, Richeze is not really working out as a lead out for Vanderbist and Vanderbist is not really working out as an above-average sprinter.

Don't know how I missed reading that.
Just saw Phinney mentioned...have to read more slowly in the future. |

Wow. Greipel sucks! I have made up my mind. He's out of the team next season. Offers will have to wait until the transfer season starts.

Just 8th for Van Stayen. At least he got a stage win and the green jersey for one day.
Also, the KoM rankings are really close, 4 riders with 6 points but we have the jersey

Good to see Granjel Cabrera made a strong rush to fourth. But with Boonen getting that kind of lead out there is not much to do.

So my 2 main helpers have both been down. Ardila and Madrazo... I guess Contador goes down in the next stage...

Saw another Cafe de Colombia faller in that stage. Suppose I should be grateful we didn't get hit with crashes in the Vuelta.
More than making up for it here though. |
