I'll go for Nibali on this one. He could've won the double Giro - Vuelta if he didn't have to help Basso... Even tho he was third (Arroyo lucky second) in front of evans ans scarponi...
I will have to go for Nibali. For once i am seeing the rider of the year from a GC perspective. He did a great Giro and a Vuelta. He deserves it this year.
No doubt that Cancellara was good, won 2 classics if i remeber it right? Anyways, for me it's Nibali.
Cancellara was 2010's best rider. Andy Schleck, with 2 stages in the Tour de France and winner of the yellow jersey, is second. The third place is shared by Thor Hushovd and Philippe Gilbert.

Andy Schleck 2nd? After a three months long season when he won two TdF stages (both given, voluntarily or not, by other riders) and the GC win which is still not official, and which in case he finally gets it, he'd have won because Astana doctor fucked up? Yeah.
Andy Schleck only actually tried to race in one single race out of the 500 or so of the year, and even in that race he wasn't the best rider.
What drunken german gynecologist is insane enough to actual consider nominating him for best rider of the season?
