In the end the nationality bonus managed to conquer the abilities of Schumacher, Ginanni and Gilbert. Great win for Santander, they are having a really good month and are beginning to haul in those ahead of them.
UBS roll forward but not perhaps with the amount as they may have hoped. Similar for Pendleton's not as good as they would have wanted. Wiggle and Ikea will console themselves that fields will not be this strong elsewhere!
I am interested to hear if the youth classification is counting - the reports would suggest that they work like the KOM and Points classification. Though it is not actually on the 'official' points list.

Wouldn't actually make much sense to give points for something that isn't for every rider. Take for example Taareamee. Everytime he rides a stage race, he's almost sure to get +20 if the Youth classification would get counted.

7th was not as good as I had planned or hoped with Ponzi when chosing to do the race, but having looked at the startlist etc, and the fact that there were many many better TTers here, I'm quite happy to get 7th. Plus points for young rider GC thingy always helps.
Some good reporting Crue.
No points for young rider GC thingy according to the point system.
Wrong.
Points for young rider, same as Point and KoM, through all of 2010 and 2011 seasons. Probably before then too, I cant remember,
I was thinking about reducing the points young riders jersey gives from next season, but til now, nobody has complained otherwise. It rewards those who go down the developing young riders route, or are fortunate enough to buy a strong U25 rider.
