the tour seems too commercialised if you ask me
the massive big bandwagon means that you can't finish (as the vuelta did) on the mountian with unpaved roads and a massive 200% gradient (slightly exaggerated)

Thanks for that. Its always nice to go "I've been exactly there" when you look at pictures or videos. Especially, Big Sur and GGB. Santa Cruz less so.

Reading the live reports, the Giro sounded like a ripper. Shame I couldn't watch it.
The Tour was average imo, I loved the Col de la Madeleine stage though. |

cyclingtorrents.nl if you are serious about watching the Giro. The site gets uploads from races every day. Highly recommended.

I picked the Tour. Mainly because I had the opportunity to watch most stages.
But also because the best riders were there, the fight between Schleck and Contador, drama on the cobbles, the battle for green, Sylvain Chavanel and Thomas Voeckler winning stages, Denis Menchov doing great, the return of Pettacchi, the rise of Ryder Hesjedal and the demise of Armstrong.
Best Tour de France in a long while.
Now flaunting my very first avatar...

Giro by far - such agressive riding and you couldn't be sure of the top 5 or so until the ending. |

I picked the tour, just because it was the last GT for Lance Armstrong, the best cyclist ever!

How can the Giro only have 66 %? It was by far the best. The others were great too, but the Giro was amazing. |

I think the Giro also, the Tour, the battle between Schleck and Contador was one of the best and will go down in history, then Vuelta only because of the last mountain stage, the rest of La Vuelta was rubbish and dull.

lol
Big Mig won the same number of Grand Tours as LA.....
Jacques Anquetil won 8 Grand Tours.....
Eddy Merckx won 11 Grand Tours....
so even just looking at GTs LA isn't the best ever!
