To pseudo-quote issoisso: You cant base a rider's TT ability on the last TT of a GT. Its always more about who's got some energy left as opposed to skill.

Ok then fair point, 2010 Vuelta a Murcia 4th stage - Menchov finished the 22km TT in 2nd place at +33 seconds, with Wiggins in 3rd place at +48 seconds. That seems closer than a 4 point separation of stats to me
EDIT - Wiggins also came home 35 seconds faster than Dave Zabriskie, who has 80 TT in the DB.

Lance "Old" Armstrong came home a bit quicker than Zabriskie. Does that mean he should get a stat boost as well?
As for Menchov v Wiggins, you have to keep the age old saying in mind: Every dog has its day. That and Menchov's occasional inconsistency.

So exactly how do you determine relative stats if you can't compare results? |

Ok, tell me who you think the 80 plus Time Trialists should be. |

I don't want to sound like I'm flogging a dead horse, but when can you compare results, if the 2 people in question only raced against each other in a time trial (not a prologue) in February or March or in the last week of a GT? |

What's with David Millar? 2 3rd places in the TDF should be a 80. |
