Hes Australian too, maybe it could explain why hes so angry after Evans performances and even more about your comments. Im aggree with him tho, with the pain cause by his injury its a miracle that hes still stand on his bike, this is what we call in France "panache". He never been lucky on Le Tour anyway, too bad... |

2nd week awards
Best rider: Sanchez has consistently impressed me this week. Also Hesjedal.
Best stage: Stage 8 to Morzine-Avoriaz
Best team: BBox are having the Tour of their lives.
Worst rider: Evans. Given that he is injured this may not be justified, but still he has been disappointing. Rogers would also qualify here.
Worst stage: Stage 16 to Pau, or Stage 2. The former for being the potential for an epic battle, but a stupid choice by the organisers. The latter because the ending was a let-down.
Worst team: Sky. No doubt.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: Liquigas - a strong team that has done nothing at all.
Stupid decision of the week: Contador accelerating past Schleck.
worst rider Evans comeon give me a break the guys gets the yellow then has a crash breaks his arm and you say his worst fucking rider you mate are a tool really i bet you would be home watching it if you fell off and break your fucking arm sorry for swearing but that just hit a nerve grow a brain next time you think out loud jerk And what makes it worse is your a fucking Aussie you make me sad ! (or maybe your just visiting our great country)
Oh wow. Settle down mate... You don't deserve a well-worded and calm response after calling me a tool, a jerk and repeatedly attacking me, but regardless...
Evans has been riding far worse than I was expected of him, so relative to that, I think he has had a poor ride. He rode a fantastic Giro and has had a great season, and I even said in my post that it may not be justified. As such relative to expectations (which is how we should always determine quality), I would say he has performed extremely poorly. I really quite like Evans and wish he had done better, but that's not going to cloud my judgement. Feel free to disagree but lay off the personal attacks.
And so what if I'm Australian? Why should that make a difference to anything?
let get the facts right im not your mate ! and secondly how do you expect anyone to ride with a broken arm ?? and last but not least before the accident he was in yellow in front of everyone ( how could being the leader of the tour be disapointing puzzels me ) .... please dont respond cause your just talking shit!

Best rider: Jurgen Van Den Broeck - Lots of riders talked about being top 5, podium, top 10. Here is one rider that has made the breakthrough. Seems to ride in a confusing position at times, but he has always been there and thereabouts.
Best stage: Stage 3. Couldn't take my eyes off of that one, an original stage with decisive gaps. True most of the gaps you could argue were down to bad luck (though I would argue bad positioning too)
Best team: Bbox, two stage wins and close to the KoM jersey. This from a team under pressure in week 2 and losing sponser at end of the year.
Worst rider: Bradley Wiggins, lots to choose in this category, Kreuzinger, Le Mevel, Rogers etc. But Sky have got to be disappointed with this result, unless Wiggins wins the TT (or at least podiums) what a waste of a year. Question is do Sky really want to go through the whole Wiggins for the TdF next year.
Worst stage: Stage 15. Great stage ruined by post stage discussion about Contador. The moment was there when Schleck attacked and we really do not know whether Contador would have responded. The race of truth was replaced by confusion about unwritten rules etc. Cannot wait for stage 17 to see the next moment.
Worst team: Milram. How long has this team been around. One can excuse Sky and BMC for rookie mistakes, bits of bad luck (on BMCs part) and not having the guile to get on BotD (on Sky's part). Milram once again seem to be hoping for a Gerdemann/Ciolek miracle.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: Radioshack - well not the team the endless Liggett/Sherwin priase of it on British ITV channel. Watching the Prologue you would have thought that the race was between Armstrong and Contador.
Stupid decision of the week: Gadret. Could have been a memorable great moment giving a wheel to the young Irishman Roche. Instead went on anonymous short attack that went nowhere nice one. |

It's unfortunate that those that only watch the TDF may still be looking at Cadel as a reactive rider who just sits there as long as he can, but this year in the Fleche Wallone and on stages of the Giro, he attacked and kept clear, Contador being one of his victims in the FW. Perhaps another think about the best way to approach the TDF next year in order to be fresh. A great rider, a great ambassador for the country, the World Champion. Those who discount him, well with all his issues(broken arm etc), he's ahead of Lance, Mick Rogers who really should be questioned more than Cadel is, I mean where has his form gone, he won the TOC??, and Ivan Basso who won the Giro. thats just for you jokovic id hate to see a good rider if cadel is a bad rider .... and i wont bother with SotD reply id probably get banned !

I agree that saying Cadel Evans is the worst rider is a bit harsh, but this is also a Tour de France thread. Evans' results i other race don't mean much in regards to the Tour. |

Matti's Breschel is moving to Rabobank to get a captain role in the spring classics. Wise move by the dane, who might also get a bit more free role in the Tour, where he should be able to compete for stage wins.
