How unsportmanlike those people not waiting for Lance and neutralizing the entire Tour, except the last 200m in Paris, where he, as it's his last TdF, should be allowed to pass first through the final line.
Oh Cancellara, where are you when we need you? |

Best rider: Andy Schleck. No really. Seriously.
Best stage: The cobbled one
Best team: Quickstep. They have been everywhere in week 1.
Worst rider: Farrar. Yes i know he's sorta injured. But he shouldn't get involved in sprints if he knows he's going to slow other people down.
Worst stage: The prologue. I yawned.
Worst team: I feel like saying Footon. They havent done much.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: Radioshack. You know why.
Stupid decision of the week: Frank Schleck for deciding to fall over.
SUPER ULTRAVIOLENCE MEGA AWARD: Barredo the viking for charging inbetween cyclists with a god damn wheel above his head.

Worst rider: Taaramäe...he's worst ride ever. Out of shape has no fighting spirit. Has lost he's only strenght ..climbing skill. He's summer results has been so far under any expectations. I just hope that he can learn something. |

Contador blames breathing trouble for today's difficulties.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

Two random thoughts:
1. It's going to be veeeeeery interesting to see what Samuel does in this Tour. He's usually far better in the third week in every GT he does.
2. As I was saying before the Tour, Contador has raced A LOT. He can't possibly be at his best. While Andy is yet to peak for anything. He's likely in absolute top form.
I'm really looking forward to the next mountains. The contenders strenghts are pretty equal which will make it quite awesome |

Best rider:Chavanel of course, but I can't separe him from Pineau
Best stage:I couldn't see all of them, but I'd say yesterday's one, not a pure moutain stage, but it was so nervous.
Best team: Quickstep, nearly everything they did was good
Worst rider: quite difficult to choose between Ivanov (nowhere...), Le Mevel and T. Martin
Worst stage: despite it was the one who passed near home, I must say the 4th stage was the worst to me
Worst team: FdJ... they absolutely did nothing
Bonus awards!
Most boring team:FdJ once again...
Stupid decision of the weekean who ruined the only sprint where Farrar could have done something... no in fact I'm not even sure he would have done sthg...
Other than that, I'm absolutely amazed by some comments concerning Armstrong and people who support or like him... I didn't think I would find such irrelevant people here...

First of all, forgive me for not watching almost any stage live, so the following is based mostly on things read from articles.
Best rider: Petacchi, i can just wonder what if he would be as fast as in 2009.
Best stage: Stage 4, just loved to see the Columbia train derailed.
Best team: it's a tie between Lampre and Saxo.
Worst rider: I think I'll go for Wiggins, he's just not capable of repeating last year's feat.
Worst stage: Can't really find one, they have all been sort of entertaining.
Worst team: Garmin. It seems they're always going to fail in a leadout.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: Pretty much every squad aiming for the GC and not sending guys into breakways - Radioshack, Astana, Liquigas, Saxo et al.
Stupid decision of the week: Cunego deciding he'll say he lost time on purpose.

So why does that make him the worst?

Well, I find the hype around him a bit too much and I'm sure the brits are also dissapointed.

I must say, personally, this is one of the first time i've seen Contador pass since his 'domination' started. (Excluding Paris-Nice 09). I wonder if he might actually be beatable this year, although it's early to tell and Contador might still be better then most climbers (with a TT) on the steaper climbs. So i'm afraid in the end it will end in the same way, unless Andy can take more time.
Edit: Love your sig Wiggo! . Yay, we have a GC contender .

Best rider: Andy Schleck
Best stage: Stage 3. Although, the falls weren't that enjoyable.
Best team: Quick Step
Worst rider: Andreas Klier. Just because.
Worst stage: Stage 2.
Worst team: Milram.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: BMC, Omega, FdJ. Any of those three.
Stupid decision of the week: This bonus award already had a winner. As I am an underdog fan: Cardoso trying to curve at 50/60 km/h. Not that smart. |

Best rider: Cadel Evans. Because.. he is in the yellow jersey.
Best stage: Stage 3.
Best team: Rabobank.
Worst rider: Jesus Hernandez. Is he riding Le Tour only because he is Contador's friend?
Worst stage: Stage 1 + 2. I don't like crash contests.
Worst team: BMC, as always.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: The ShockRadio. Why? You all know, I guess.
Most Surprising Rider: Lance Armstrong.
Stupid decision of the week: A fine for Costa and Barredo.

Armstrong's day was as if he was riding Rainbow Road in Mario Kart. It was that bad.

Armstrong fell... he doesn't like very hot temperatures, and it is since the start, he hasn't lost 11minutes because of his weakness, he has lost 2 minutes because of it, and then let it go, which was, despite I'd love to see him once again on the podium, the right thing to do I think.
That's what I dislike about the situation. I would have loved to see Lance get dropped without the fan boys (not saying you are one, though) being able to excuse it with the fact that LA had crashed before-hand.
But it was a serious crash. According to Bruyneel, he got a serious "hip-injury".
Best rider: Andy Schleck. Although a sucky prologue, he's been really strong.
Best stage: The stage to Spa, no doubt. I think we've never seen such great racing from the pack since the time of Bernard Hinault.
Best team: Astana
Worst rider: Jesus Hernandez beats Bonkstrong by the width of a hair.
Worst stage: The cobbled stage. A big, long yawn. Couldn't quite live up to the action the day before.
Worst team: RadioShack
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: I would say RadioShack, but the sight of Armstrong not managing to dig into his suitcase of courage and then getting dropped triggered some pleasent excitement.
Stupid decision of the week: Bouet sprinting for it on the stage to Spa. Great way to gain some enemies from the knuckleheads who didn't want to sprint. |
