Im hoping ciolek will win but I can see him coming in around 3rd 4th or 5th AGAIN!! Anyway i think it will probably be between Cav and Petacchi. Leaning towards Cav as he is british
Careful about leaning towards Cav, he might lean back and cause a crash
Speaking of which. For the sake of the Green Jersey, isnt it Hushovd's turn to crash today?
I dont mean to sound harsh but I hope so as it will make the green jersey more interesting. Anyway surely farrar cant be but there in the sprint with his wrist and the "frog" mondory nudging into him . COME ON THE BRITS |

There are about 9 roundabouts in last 6 kms. Will be there once again the crash day contest?

As long as Hushovd wins everythng is fine.
Don't bite me Brits, but it's for my fantasy team's sake. |

I'm backing Cav in on this one - he's going to win a stage in this tour sooner or later. I hope he doesn't, but I think he will win this one. |

I hope Ciolek gets it today. He had several 2nd and 3rd in the last Tours. He really deserves a big victory now. |

Not working for me, but this one appears to be live and working

Although looking at their heartrates, they're having a bad case of death in the team. Still producing decent wattages though

Me too, but I think Columbia will put Cavendish in a perfect position and the Brit will take his first win in this Tour.

Did anyone else notice that this year, breakaways seem to get a much smaller gap from the peloton compared to a couple of years ago ? We've hardly gotten 15 minutes breaks with 150 km to go that were caught in the last 10 km.
I reckon it might be a sign that the peloton cannot chase at an insane pace during the last hour or hour and a half anymore, so they remain much closer, to come back more easily at the time they wish.
What do you think about it ? |

I think breakaway riders have worked out that they have a better chance of staying away if they keep the gap at 4 minutes and hence save energy until 40km to go and then have a chance of getting away. I recall some rider saying that after a successful break last year.
I think to counter that strategy the peleton are just slowly reducing the advantage
