If that is the situation Horner could have a go. And maybe Millar will go in the 'morning' break and get Mountain points.
Nah, its too soon for a Millar attack - and he is too well placed. Expect a Frenchman or 2 (or 3 etc) to attack for the first time though, now there is KoM points to play for.

What you think of Ballan, Barredo or maybe Ivanovs chances?. In my opinion they should have quite free roles and its a good stage for them.
Anyone know if their in good form? Or what have they performed earlier this year?
And i agree with Sanchez and Cunego, would have been fun to see em try something ^^ |

I say: Voeckler might do something! And I hope Cavendish fails again.

This is kind of like stage 19 last year that Cav just won. But because everyone will have more energy if any attack gets away they will be hard to bring back. I am tempted to pick one of the Katusha riders to win, but a bunch sprint with anything up to 50 riders seems possible. Maybe if an attack can stay away until the last 3kms, everyone behind will crash! |

*Shocked
Well I was really hoping he wouldn't have, because he seemed alright and he's from Australia too. I wonder if it was doctors orders or if he had a say in it.

I don't think any of the contenders will go, but I think a Cunego, LL Sanchez, or (dare I say it) Voigt will attack and any of them could win the stage.
Yeah I have to agree, I'd love to see Sanchez try something, though he might wait until a bit later in the tour - he has a lot to prove to the team in this position. As it is I think Saxobank would shut anything down to ensure that Cancellara keeps the jersey going into stage 3 where he has a real chance of increasing that lead.

It is a pity to see him go out but I remember him looking at the camera near the end of the stage (after helping out on the front) and indicating that his shoulder was hurting. I doubt he would want to jeopardise the rest of his career by riding for another three weeks with a suspect shoulder that was already injured before the race. |

He's good on hilly stage and if is not a massive sprint is one of favorites.
Breschel have chance in a sprint or a attack of a Katusha rider, but i don't think there will be attacks

I expect that we could see a split if a break gets a big lead, because the peleton will start chasing and the hills will cause the weaker riders to be dropped.

It is going to be between, Thor, Freire, Ciolek, maybe Bole?
are there more i forgot?
I personally beleive Rojas could have a chance and the Brits think Cav has a chance so...
well..cav can forget about his ambitions!
Why? There is evidence to show that Cavendish can win this stage? So why can he "forget" it?
You're making no sense at all.
well, show me?
Are you an idiot or did you simply not read page 1?
no i didn't...

There's another 14 PCM sites you can go to, so don't think we'll consider it a loss. |

where this Cavendish hate come from?
it seem to be hard to be a sprinter..
Hushovd ...ass
Brown ...camikaze
Cavendish..arrogant youngester..who has won already to much
Greipel..he has no balls
Farrar..well he is american, probably Lance friend
Boonen..coke nose. Super hard to loose that title
McEwen..he is to old
Freire..he is almost that old than McEwen
Hagen..he own's world most stupid fan club
Breschel..wearing a tag..he is not a spinter
Bos..Guy who took Impey down with style.
Impey...almost unknown guy who became celebrety after that crash
Petacchi..old..italian..ee..nothing to say he won a stage already
Just calm down.. Cavendish is a top guy--and wil take what belongs to him. He starting to remind me Boonen before he won a tour green. I believe I was he's biggest fan here because you hate him so much.
same reason...have you noticed that ruben is now Contador suporter..reason. Your Contador-doper-hater nonsens talk as caused that.

I am hoping that the sprinters can survive the climb at the end of the stage so we can get an idea of what they're made of since all the wrecks yesterday just left me with more questions. |

I can see this stage end as the Chablis-Autun stage in 2007 where there also was a category 3 climb close to the finish. Where it ended in a spring where Pozzato won and Freire was the only topsprinter left if I remember correctly. So I could see Freire or guys like Hagen, Breschel and riders similar to them win. |

Very good breakaway group, but do you think they will let them take this stage? |

Now 1' 10". Two of them are in my fantasy cycling team, so I'm quite happy with that Oh and Taaramae is now virtual leader of the Tour, for all that is worth.
