Are you seriously naive enough to think he's been clean since Puerto, 5 years ago, and even if he is, that he should get away with doping only because it's taken time to get the conviction.
Seriously, I don't get some people

I want him to come out and admit it now because right now he isnt my favorite rider anymore, but i may like him after his ban if he admits it, same as Vinoukourov if he admits he doped i would like him as a rider and a person again. |

I must admit to the fact he's had some punishment already (no tour, no italy etc.). So in that sense i had anticipated that the ban would last for a year or something. That said, im not losing any sleep over the fact he got two years. |

I'm not against Valverdes ban. But there are other riders who should be banned too. I think its just unfear to ban only several riders, like they did with Basso. |

Agreed. Plus all the footballers, tennis players etc who the Spanish authorities failed to investigate in Puerto.
Although it's not unfair on Valverde that others haven't been investigated yet. He doped, he's punished. Not unfair.

By my standards, a rider is caught when he tests positive. Valverde didn't. I'd rather say he's banned. |

just after Giro it is good to say. Look at Basso..yes I did (attended to dope)..give me my penalty..thank you..this is it. Now I won a Giro.
Not 4 years bullshit and hiding.. why he needed that. He was hoping that they forget a subject and let him go?
at least I never thought that he is cleaner then Sevilla, Ullrich and Basso. |

Basso, Ullrich and all the others were never caught with Fuentes blood, but they had the same things against them, Valverde now has. |

Valverde is still younger than Ullrich or Mayo was when they got their suspension isn't he? Kohl was quite an exceptional case, and no one would have taken him back, but I guess it will depend on what stand he will take over the next few days.
If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.

Kohl was averange stage racer without a dope.
Then he started to talk and make himself a total fool. |

I hope he does comeback, but unlike Astorloza he will be at Euskaltel next year, after his ban, but what team will take Valverde because after this year Caisse D'Erpagne are ending their sponsorship, will they be a team next year. |

He'll come back. Vinokourov 2.0. So, look out LBL 2012. |
