I sent my strongest squad. Period. You sent your strongest squad you could. There's the difference. Plus Ponzi is a potential 7, and they always seem to do well.
In fact, Scarponi was my only domestique present. The rest will all actually lead or co-lead at some point for the continental scene for Wiggle. I doubt you can say the same about your squad here.

And in fact, in comparison, all you had here of any use was actually Ulissi and Sammy Sanchez. The rest never stood a chance in hell of any results.
Aha...
Diego Ulissi is also Pot7 as far as I know.
I don't think my team here was worse overall than yours, but I just had other targets, like the sprints also.
And I don't really know what you seemed to be pissed about.
My appearance of being pissed off is only due to me being blunt, and to the point. With the use of fullstops. Frequently. Do not mistake this with being pissed off. If I was pissed off, there would be several insults imbedded within the text
I still see my team as, overall, a lot stronger. I don't see why Ponzi did better than Sanchez, but there you have it. The AI doesn't like you at the moment
I targetted everything, as I'm obviously going to do. Hence Rowe's several top 10 results in the sprints. As to why Ponzi won 2 stages, I haven't a clue. Ignatiev did well in the TT, and Ponzi did well overall, as did Cataldo. Securing, in my mind, that Wiggle deserve to be riding with the big boys next season Edited by rjc_43 on 02-06-2010 21:26
Rjc: What a performance by Wiggle. Despite being unlucky in a lot of continental races Wiggle are still simmering along nicely there. Ignatiev I think is sure to maintain winning and Ponzi should be a good bet for high finishes in the hilly ones. I suppose Ponzi did have the Italian factor here not that the home country always kicks in but it seems to help. True strength in depth in my opinion something I did not pick up on when I wrote my previews.
I guess Sanchez had the right race last year and just was in the wrong places this time out. I am watching the likes of Lipton Ice Tea, Gazzeta, Vesuvio and Wikipedia in these ones looking for stand out performances. I am not sure Gazzetta (mind you cunego is yet to race) are going to do quite as well.
So damn awesome. Just what I wanted for this race, fulfilling my win goal and also a couple of stage wins in the going. Edited by mattiasgt on 03-06-2010 01:10
