Tour Down Under - Stage 5
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Map.png

Here`s an Elminger interview tooked before the race !
CyclingMagazine : What are your expectation for this stage ? With 2 hills in the last section of the stage , this route looks great for your climbing skills !
Elminger : I`ll do my best to finish in top 3 in the GC at final of the tour and yeah this is a great oportunity for me to win some seconds against Vaitkus , but it will be very tought to beat the peloton pace !

Today the breakaway group is melting under the sun`s rays , there is a temperature up 40 !!!
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Evadati5.png

In the last hill section , Quick-Step handed the pace to Cervelo and Elmiger being advantaged by this oportunity too atack !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Elmingeratack.png

But the hill section was to small and Elminger know that his downhill skills sucks so he surrender !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Prins.png

On way to the finish Geslin made his move hoping for a miracle !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Fjd.png

But there is no reason to hope when Nuyens is in front of the peloton !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/GeslinPrins.png

The sprint is off , Staf Scheirlinckx is in front ! Huge oportunity for him to take the GC jersey !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Sprint1.png

The disaster strike for Devolder Shock !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Devdown.png

Back to our sprint Cancellara looks very fit today and he certainly have the strenght to win this sprint !
i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Sprint2.png

Staf Scheirlinckx played his card but he finish 4th , but with Devolder crash it`s enuff the be the next tour leader . Cancellara shows again why he is the best flat rider in the world , great victory for him !

3.i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu145/alexkr93/Flags%20II/SWI.pngMartin Elminger + 6

Even if Elminger dont come in first position he reach his objective to get in GC podium , from profile of last stage we can say that keeping this position wont be a problem for him !

Boring sprint today Sad Greg Henderson win this stage after he was well positioned by his team-mate Matthew Hayman . Mondory put us realizing how much shape matters !

It could be cheating, as long as your opponents usually don't attack on downhill.

And, niceresult in your first PT race of the season! Good luck in P-N!

Grand Prix cycliste La Marseillaise

Tactics
This was a great oportunity for us to win , because of good shape trought Elminger pass , but Elimger wasnt our single man who have plans for race victory , Nicholas Roche was kind of nervous before his first season race . You`re gonna see how his nervous state helped us today !
www.cyclesud.fr/sport/marseillaise-parcours.jpg

With no big name ( except Elminger and Voeckler ) the press dont show interes for this race , yet a young spanish journalist , Raul Martinez , made a race report for us !
The whole race was controlated by Ag2r , with the last climb in his front Elminger made his move folowed only by Voeckler , but the man from Bboux played the Valverde style and with a weak Elminger the peloton catch them on the downhill !
The front of the peloton boils for sprint preaparing , but with 10 km to go a young rider break all theirs plan . Nicolas Roche explode front he pack and found himself in a very good position for victory ! i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Rocheatack.png
With 20m to go his hands was right above his head celebrating our first victory in this season !
www.nicolasroche.com/nico/images/IMG_3792.jpg

Reactions after race
Voila , the win have a damm good taste , next time let`s hope will be a PT one Smile And so the mount of january brings us a podium on TDU and a one-day race victory . We look forward , february will test for first time our leaders , let`s make a warm welcome for us champions Wink

For us Brits, it's the # button. Might be different on yours.

On the 2nd row of the keyboard, start by trying the button closest to the enter button, then move leftwards. One of them should do it Wink

The Press
The media seems very interested in this year tour , most likely because of sheiks money , they put tons of money in tour promovation , but from the Startlist we see that they dont realy succed in bringing a big name !
Yet after the well knowed french show Bicycles bring peace we have formed a trio with best chances to win : Bonnet Mondory and Rossi !

Tour of Qatar - Stage 1 - TTT
www.letour.fr/PHOTOS/TQA/2010/100/CARTE.gif

A great time trialing test for many team , but i think not for Ag2r that comes here with an disasterous TT team , Caisse d`Eparge are the favourites by far , their team seems created for a big tour with manny climber in his composition . Trough that we cand underastimeted Columbia leaded by the forme world champion Grabsch . Garmin could come in the first position too but in an interview they reveal that this tour is just a training for Amgen Tour of California !

i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/CaisseDepargne.png
The whole circuit Caisse d`Epargne maintained a very strong rythm , i thing they worth the relative of "favourites" , yet they start first so we cant know what others team will do comparate to our spanish battalion .

i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Ag2r.png
In no case Ag2r , they come with +1,23 !!! Have made the spanish team a very good race or our boys just have a bad day ? Will find out !

i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Liquigas.png
Liquigas finish with +28 behind Caisse d`Epargne , still Sabatini have some chances for overall win .

i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af272/TroughSiberia/Rabobank.png
Certanly today wasnt their day , with major TT names in team like : Boom , Posthuma , Ten Dam they done their best to keep the team blazon !

Tomorrow yellow jersey will be wornd by David Arroyo , he will probably lose this jersey in the few next day being specialized on climbing not sprinting as our next stages ar totaly flat , but who knows ? Maybe the gap created by his team is enuff !

I muss admit that my TTT skill prety sucks beacause of the lack of TTT trough season , my strenghts will show up in mountains and on ITT`s ( it`s funny , but it`s a huge diference between ITT and TTT from my point of view ) . In sprint i dont expect do win something big , because i dont have any kind of leadout man for my spriters
