Not a horrible stage, but Ignas really ruined that for me, as every point is going to count. |

Yes and Popov too. He would get yellow in the 2nd stage if he hadnt crashed
if he survived stage 1 without crash, he would never won stage 2 like he did

El - Al having a really good race here - Wiggle have 6 men in the top 20 as well so could be a nice earner for them, though I am guessing rjc will be eyeing a stage victory from somewhere.
Froome's 2nd place probably little solace for 100% Me, not a good race for them at the moment, Swift is going to have to get his act together (or at least his sprint train is!)
Craven I think for the win, though those 40km crits are scary look what happened in stage 1 here and last stage in Tour Down Under! |

Wrong. The whole point here was that he followed another train, I didnt bring a leadout rider. Or so I thought...
2nd for Froome is great. But it just highlights how much the crash has cost him

Hopefully the TT (altough short) will bring Rohregger up on the list Though I bet he will fall on one of the flat stages :-p

This is proving a really great race for you beagle, a second stage win and barring disaster surely Clement can gain a high (maybe 1st) GC. Maybe Degenkolb for the points jersey?
A choatic sprint, I guess Bellis missed a chance to gain bonifications going into the crits and TT. Those crits, crashes or maybe time gaps like last year?
Meanwhile, congrats to Froome for dusting himself off and picking up the KOM jersey for 100% Me. Konovalinus is looking good for high placings in the two points competitions as well, an early crash is not always the worst that can happen in a stage race!
Look forward to the last three stages |

My hope is for 2 crashed in the top 10 now, and then an extreme TT. I belive that is what I need to get Rohregger into top 5. I've stopped counting on stage wins by Sabatini :-p

Looking at last years TT results, won by Zakkiri Dempster (TT 79) he took 33 seconds on then race leader Sam Bewley (TT 71?), 47 seconds on Ben Swift (TT 70?), 60 seconds on Ben Nasser (TT 66) and 80 seconds on Thorsen (TT 60?).
I think having a good stamina stat may make a difference but TT will be the main one.
Looking at the current top 21, I would say Clement and Craven should have enough to battle it out for the top 2 spots, though Sicard could hold them off he is not a bad little TTer. At the very least Sicard should be 3rd on GC afterwards. I also think Cataldo and Van Der Velde will overtake Bellis.
Rohregger is a bit of a wildcard, surely good enough to overtake Ben Nasser and the terrible TTer Paverin but I am not sure he will get enough on Bellis, Cataldo or Ven der Velde.
In the next big group of riders down Swift, Hermans and Scholz should move up, though they are battling for 10th place. Swift should have a shot at a time bonus or two in the crit sprints which may enable him to get further up in the top 10, though he has performed below expectations so far in that respect. |

Once again Sabatini shows he's not the fastest guy... Anyway, now comes the Time Trial

Its been a funny continental tour at the moment, some of the races seem to have given some teams a huge slice of fortune and others misfortune. Here beagle must have been rubbing some rabbits feet or something. (I passed them on after the TdU)
Probably sound like a broken record but I feel for SN there, maybe on stage 7 they can split things up again!
Let the TT battle begin |

5th by Rohregger on the stage, and 7th in the GC. A lot like I thought when I sent him to the race (I had a small hope for top 5, and that might happen with a looooooooooooooot of luck :-p I trust in fallings and a strange attack by Thomas that acctually works )
