p3druh,
He has won it once. It's impossible to do it again? Surely not.
And nowdays in cycling, where ppl don't dope as much as in the 90's, It's very difficult or impossible for one team to control the race for 3 weeks. So I'm sure if Contandor or Armstrong get the maillot jaune early, will let a brakeaway go and get plenty of time. Like in Giro.
Agreed but I was referring to the fact that Pereiro now rides for Astana

Armstrong is chasing. and the gap is 40 seconds on the line.

They do it again:
he 25-year-old sprinter rolled out of La Punt approximately five minutes after the peloton today, tracing the race route in riding up the day’s first climb of the Sustenpass. He was accompanied by a team car, and was due to jump into it after his ride and be taken straight to the airport.

They even fail at copying and pasting.
A guardian article: https://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/...-de-france
Which includes:
Team Sky probable Tour de France team, British unless stated: B Wiggins, S Cummings, G Thomas, T Lofkvist (Sweden), K Asle Arvesen (Norway), J A Flecha (Spain), S Gerrans (Australia), E Boasson Hagen (Norway), plus M Barry (Canada), G Henderson (New Zealand) or S Calzati (France).
The cyclingnews version: https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/sky-t...akes-shape
Which starts well enough:
According to the Guardian, eight of the nine Team Sky riders to compete in the Tour de France have already been decided by the team principal Dave Brailsford.
But then:
Bradley Wiggins will lead the squad in their debut Tour, with Juan Antonio Flecha, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Kurt Asle Arvesen, Thomas Löfkvist, Steve Cummings and Simon Gerrans all said to be definitely nominated. Still under consideration are Michael Barry, Sylvain Calzati and Greg Henderson
Note that cyclingnews' list of 8 apparent definates, only contains 7 riders, with Geraint Thomas having gone missing it seems

We’ve talked about Edvald in the passed
*facepalm*
It's also hilarious how they chastize Greipel for only winning one Giro stage when he was sick for most of the race.

Cancellara is a GC contender now
The peloton was further split by a massive crash that happened just inside the final kilometre banner, one that stopped all the GC contenders including race leader Cancellara.

Isn't he in 1st place? I think he's a GC contender after all, at least until the first mountain stage... |

Cyclingnews up to their usual crap.
Wiggins says "last year was a fluke in the sense that it wasn't planned". Headline: WIGGINS ADMITS LAST YEAR WAS A FLUKE

*sigh*
No matter how many years pass, Cyclingnews refuse to understand the difference between Kazakh and Kazakhstani
Maybe if we start calling irish riders "Celts" they'll get it?

Seen as this is the first time and no years have passed for me, would you mind explaining it?

Kazakhs are an ethnicity, Kazakhstani refers to people from Kazakhstan
