The TTT at last year's TdF was only 7 kilometres longer, and Cuddles finished 2'35" behind Astana, 1'33" behind Liqui. |

meh, all the time gaps came in the first 10km, after that the differences were tiny, so it really just depends how technical the course is.

I just read Pinotti will have a look on the GC. Is he kidding? Does he wanna try to get a Top40 result?
Especially in the last week there are huge of better climbers than him. |

Pinotti's GT Results since 2007:
07 Giro, 18th.
08 Giro, 65th.
09 Giro, 39th.
10 Giro, Top 15 isn't impossible... maybe...

I think it is pretty obvious that HTC isn't sending any GC people, just a huge train for Greipel. Martin/Rogers/Monfort are elsewhere, so no GC this year.

They've said that Albasini is their "GC" leader, in such that he's been given a free role in the mountains.

Since Pellizotti can't win the Giro anymore, I'm now betting on Sastre.

Am I wrong, or it seems this year Giro will be an Evans vs Sastre thing ? (if Sastre wants to win the Giro, it's now or never) |

Since Pellizotti won't be competing I'm going for Vino to win and Sastre for the Points Jersey. |
