World Track Championship 2010

This isn't going quite to plan.

Oh well, this counts for nothing. Next year is when the worlds become very important in the Olympic cycle.

For those that don't know, the 2011 and 2012 worlds count for Olympic qualification.

that doesn't seem fair. What if you get injured then and don't get selected but do great. Would they make an exception.

You've got 2 years, so no. The majority of countries usually get an Olympic spot.

ohh Ithink i misunderstood I thought we were talking about induvidual riders but we are talking about countries. That makes way more sense and slightly more fair than it did before.

doddy13
I'm quite sure it's countries.

definitely countries, each individual country gets to pick their riders, as long as they have a minimum time.

Meyer was beyond the best. He might as well had been riding alone.

but that would defeat the point in a competition

Not hugely into the track - but Meyer was extremely good.

Huge lead off in the team sprint too from the German guy who went first. Kenny did a great job as well.

Considering it was his first go at being man 1, that was a superb effort.

Well, it wasnt his first time - Kenny was Man 1 for the GB team at the Manchester World Cup - he did a 17.588 there

But great performance nonetheless. Perhaps Crampton may come in at Man 2 now aswell, as I think Edgar was probably the slowest of the 3 today.

I'm quite sure. Kenny opened up a huge gap against the Chinese, but when it was edgars turn, the gap decreased in size.

Still, a good performance by the trio.

I'll be at the race today.

Should Alex Rasmussen not be in the position to win, watch out for me attacking whoever's leading the race Pfft

Meyer's performance was crazy. Too bad the first 10 pages of tomorrows sport in the newspaper will be football previews for the weekend.
