I am happy to let you know that I just renewed my contract with Andronni Giocattoli for another two years and will ride for them till 2013. I have a topic in contract that I can ride a bike that not supported by team bike manufacturer, so I can renew my contract with Ridley too.
Also Jakson Rodriges and Alessandro Bertolini renewed their contracts for one year.

Tirreno - Adriatico
First Pro-Tour race for me! I was very excited when Gianni Savio told me that I am in the squad for that race. But next thing he told me was not so good. He said: "I am counting on you as on team-mate. Our leader will be Michele [Scarponi] and I think you should be his right-hand here." It was a little disappointment, but I think I will have my leadership in some other races. I have time for that.
Anyway, first stage was quite flat, with only one hill near finish.
Gianni decided to make an attack there, so anybody of us was to make strong attack. That man was Leonardo Bertagnolli [yes, Bertagnolli, not Bertoglatti, Kami ] He made huge gap in climb and personally I though that he going to win today's stage.
But sprinters weren't asleep today.
With only one km to finish line Leonardo was catched and stage was decided in battle of two Spaniards: Rojas and Freire. Former World Champion overtook young compatriot and became first race leader.
Our sprinter, Francesco Ginani became third by overtaking Norway champion on last meters. I decided not to knocking with sprinters and finished in middle of peloton.
Stage results:
1 | Óscar Freire | Rabobank | 3h27'31 | 2 | José JoaquÃn Rojas | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 3 | Francesco Ginanni | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 4 | Kurt-Asle Arvesen | Sky Professional Cycling Team | s.t. | 5 | Tyler Farrar | Garmin - Transitions | s.t. | 6 | Luis Pasamontes | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 7 | Leonardo Bertagnolli | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 8 | Manuel Cardoso | Footon - Servetto | s.t. | 9 | Juan Manuel Gárate | Rabobank | s.t. | 10 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - Farnese Vini | s.t. |

Second stage was clearly boring. I even don't want to tell anything about it. There was a breakaway, where Jakson Rodriguez rode. He attacked on both hills and now he will wear mountain jersey.
Interesting thing started with 3 km to finish, where there was little mess up with sprinters. Our biggest hope, Francesco Ginanni set on Bazayev's wheel and that was clever. Kazakh was main domestique of Allan Davis and made fantastic work in the front. Francesco got very high speed on his wheel and we did think he will win this time.
Sadly, but Davis, who couldn't take his team-mate wheel, set on Ginanni's one and when finish line was very close, he overtook our friend. But we still had second place!
Moreover, Francesco have best two results so far, so he is GC leader now! That is awesome! I looking forward to next day, where we will have to save his lead.
Stage results:

Third stage was very nervous for us. First of all the relief is nice for lucky breaks, so we had to control group speed.
Then, when we just started, and didn't even pass first 50 km's, our race leader, Francesco Ginanni was fallen. It wasn't bad, he just scratched leg and arm.
But we all (well, without our leader, Scarponi) went down to Francesco to help him to get back in the bunch.
After that we had have little time to relax and after that we started chasing after breakaway group again. Luckily, there weren't any bad situations for us and when we came to finish section, the group had speed that suited for Ginanni mostly. We even made a small train for him. I was his last wheel and I did saw what happened on last meters.
When I made my job and leaved Francesco alone, there was one little curve to pass. Francesco passes it too close to right side and one of spectators touched him. You know, when you are riding bike on speed over 70 kn/h it's very painful!
I don't know how, but Francesco did keep his position on his bike and made very significant victory for our team!
This vitory let him to remain in leader's jersey for another day. Tomorrow it will be hilly stage which will finish on Monte Luppone. I think that our main efforts will be concentrate on Scarponi.
Stage results:
1 | Francesco Ginanni | Androni Giocattoli | 3h57'05 | 2 | Gert Steegmans | Team RadioShack | s.t. | 3 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 4 | Tyler Farrar | Garmin - Transitions | s.t. | 5 | Bernhard Eisel | Team HTC - Columbia | s.t. | 6 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - Farnese Vini | s.t. | 7 | Óscar Freire | Rabobank | s.t. | 8 | Kurt-Asle Arvesen | Sky Professional Cycling Team | s.t. | 9 | Allan Davis | Astana | s.t. | 10 | Danilo Napolitano | Team Katusha | s.t. |

4th stage of first Italian pro-tour stage race was ended on famous Monte Lupone, not long but extremely steep hill. But before start of that stage all our team have visited orphanage in Foligno. We spent two hour there communicating with kids. That meeting was organize by our main sponsor, Andronni Giocattoli, manufacturer of plastic toys. We presented some toys to children and I think they were pleased with that.
Kids maybe thought that I am not talkative, but, you know, I know Italian, but as it is needed to communicate in race with teammates. But when we started to talk about their learning and things like this I realized that I don't know many words.
Anyway, back to the race.
We started and some riders started to attack from the very start. Most of that tries were neutralized, but four guys had left peloton. They gained all intermediate finishes and mountain points but we really forgot about them when we came to area near Monte Luppone.
When the bunch started to climb in first hill, big group leaded bu Quick-Step guys came off the peloton and started to increase speed.
We had some people in that group, so we didn't work in the front, but mane teams worked hard there and with 17 km to finish we catched that group. But main contender from Quick-Step, Stijn Devolder wasn't in that group allready. He with Phillippe Gilbert attacked on penultimate climb and shifted to breakaway. Michele Scarponi was like a madman today, he attacked few times, but all that attacks wasn't lucky.
The front group with them started to loose riders, and at the same time we moved to the front as Devolder was very dangerous for our leader. At the last summit Devolder oversprinted Gilbert and gained his first big victory in this season.
We haven't catch up them and main bunch finished in 44 seconds after. That was enough for Belgian to take the lead. Francesco is now second in GC and I was a bit surprised when I saw myself on 9th place there.
Sorry about lack of the pictures, I really wanted to make them but as full fool pressed wrong button at stage end.
Stage results:
1 | Stijn Devolder | Quick·Step | 4h10'45 | 2 | Philippe Gilbert | Omega Pharma - Lotto | s.t. | 3 | Eros Capecchi | Footon - Servetto | + 13 | 4 | Christophe Brandt | Omega Pharma - Lotto | s.t. | 5 | Leonardo Bertagnolli | Androni Giocattoli | + 44 | 6 | Gilberto Simoni | Lampre - Farnese Vini | s.t. | 7 | Francesco Ginanni | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 8 | Johan Van Summeren | Garmin - Transitions | s.t. | 9 | Emanuele Sella | CarmioOro NGC | s.t. | 10 | Óscar Freire | Rabobank | s.t. |

Next stage will be TT and we all have pretty bad TT skills, so I don't think somebody will be in top-5 after next stage. I thinking about penultimate stage. It suited to my skills, so we will attack indeed.

Next stage of the race was 32-km time trial stage with very interesting profile: climb on last 3 km's was very tough and we expected that some climbers will hold on there.
First good time was made by Przemyslaw Niemiec.
He placed himself on hot-seat for over 45 minutes, when Andreas Kloden overtook him for almost a minute.
Our break-in started when Bertagnolli finished just 2 seconds behind German grand.
Such class time-trialists as Liephemier, Wiggins, Menchov didn't manage to make better time.
But when Swiss Rocket Cancellara made his stage, I think everyone realized, that nobody can beat him today.
My turn to start was very late as I had 9th position in GC that time. Firts intermediate point and I loosed 32'' to Cancellara. Second one and gap grows to 2'04''.
But then I started my climbing. I feeled very good today and climbed like on wings. So, when I passed finish line, Gianni Faresin screamed in my earphone: "Massimo! How did you do that?" and added something I didn't understand. I think it was swearing.
At finish line I loosed just 14'' to Cancellara!
After me it were just two riders that interested me - Ginanni and Devolder. Belgian finished first, so I understood that he overtook Francesco somewhere.
My Italian teammate loosed over 2 and a half minutes and now have no chances to fight for GC. But now I have that chances. As our pre-race leader, Scarponi is behind me for near one minute, I think I have right to be a leader. Will see tomorrow.
Stage results:
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Team Saxo Bank | 50'25 | 2 | Stijn Devolder | Quick·Step | + 3 | 3 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | + 14 | 4 | Andreas Klöden | Team RadioShack | + 28 | 5 | Leonardo Bertagnolli | Androni Giocattoli | + 30 | 6 | Christian Vande Velde | Garmin - Transitions | + 32 | 7 | Johan Van Summeren | Garmin - Transitions | + 46 | 8 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Professional Cycling Team | s.t. | 9 | Stefano Garzelli | Acqua & Sapone | + 48 | 10 | Levi Leipheimer | Team RadioShack | s.t. |
GC:
1 | Stijn Devolder | Quick·Step | 16h37'56 | 2 | Max Belaschov | Androni Giocattoli | + 1'19 | 3 | Johan Van Summeren | Garmin - Transitions | + 1'37 | 4 | Fabian Cancellara | Team Saxo Bank | + 1'54 | 5 | Stefano Garzelli | Acqua & Sapone | + 1'57 | 6 | Christian Vande Velde | Garmin - Transitions | + 2'01 | 7 | Michele Scarponi | Androni Giocattoli | + 2'21 | 8 | Gilberto Simoni | Lampre - Farnese Vini | + 2'23 | 9 | Óscar Freire | Rabobank | + 2'41 | 10 | JoaquÃm RodrÃguez | Team Katusha | + 2'49 |

I woke up today and said to myself: "I will win today!". When we had breakfast I said that to all the team. My feeling was very good, my legs just wanted one thing - to roll the pedals and stage profile was just as I like. My eyes were flaring, and this my condition had shared to my team mates.
When we rode to start place, Gianni Savio as always made quick pre-race chat, when he gave their roles to all riders. He said: "Jakson Rodriguez, you are going to breakaway and trying to bring back mountain jersey. Michele Scarponi, you are right hand to Max, but if he won't ride on maximum, you have some free to desire. Max - you know what to do."
So, this stage was our right from the start. Jakson managed to early break and in spite of being in group with such class climbers as Moreno, Niemiec, Muraviev, Willems, he gained two mountains and had won mountain jersey.
At the last mountain there started attacks. I've joined the group in where I saw Pelizzotti, Menchov, Garzelli and some others. Devolder, my main rival wasn't able to join us, so I started to work hard.
Soon I looked back and saw only Denis near me. We've made few turns and he dropped behind me. In front of me remained just few guys - Jakson Rodriguez, Moreno and attacked before me Simoni and Kloden. But behind me race leader tried to catch me. He was very strong and started to reduce gap between us.
I've increased speed and quickly overtook Jakson and Gibo, but Klodi was also good today.
He remained with me very long time and I really started to worry about finish, but he was dropped with 5 km to finish. I was alone and pushed, pushed hard. Last three kilometers of today's stage were the most important and most difficult in my career.
But here it is - finish line. I made my winning move and launch my stopwatch to know the gap between me and Devolder. I needed to win 1'10 to take lead.
1'05 and somebody crossed finish line. Kloden. Another 15 seconds and two riders passed. Scarponi and Van Summeren. Devolder loosed 1'48 and Savio and Faresin rushed to my neck, congratulating and screaming something on Italian. I am leader of GC now. And, with flat last stage there isn't place to get ahead of me. I'm going to win it.
When Faresin told me that I will win something big this season I didn't expected that it will be so soon! But this result isn't just because of me. All the team made everything to help me, escecially I want to undeline Michele's work. He was good and he really could win the race too but he helped me today really, really much! Thank you!

Last stage of Race of two seas was flat and we were sure that no attacks will be made today. So in pre-race meeting our goal was to make pace.
In first half of the stage there were few attacks of people, who were over 11 minutes behind me. I told my teammates that we shouldn't follow them and almost all time of the stage we just enjoyed our leading.
We enjoyed not only my lead in GC, but also Jakson Rodriguez's lead in mountain classification and Ginanni's Maglia Verde. The pace of the bunch was so slow, that there was even time, when provisional lead in GC was took by someone from breakaway, but we increased speed and quickly restored status-quo.
But I think everyone were too fatigued from yesterday's stage, so even sprinters' teams didn't want to pursuit. So the stage was won by early breakaway. Peloton loosed some minutes, but we didn't bother about it, we celebrated our victory.
After finish there were huge amount of public relations - press-conferences, meeting with major and so on. So, I came to my room around 23-30 hours and now, when I post my report, I will go to bed.
My game crashed right after the finish, so I have no screenshots and results
