Australian ITT Championship
Our guys didn't do good. Well my tactic was also a bit off, haven't had practice for a while.
Hansen seems to be on form as he won ahead of Evans and Rogers.

Australian RR Championship
We would very much like a win from here.
Wilson went alone to try and get a win. Some time later he was joined by others but unfortunatelly the peleton kept the gap under 2 minutes.
As some riders including our Lowe reached the front group Wilson put his all into it to keep the likes of O'Grady, Evans and Davis from reaching us.
Gerrans and Rogers were in this group.
Lowe has to look from behind as Gerrans distances himself on the last hill. He tries desperatelly to hang on to the 2 others including O'Grady who bridged the gap alone.
Allthough low on energy, Lowe tries to surprise the others by putting in a strong relay on the downhill.
Meanwhile Gerrans can celebrate in front of 3 battling guys.
But Lowe is beat, he can't follow Rogers who looked strong in the end and O'Grady who can only blame himself for missing the break and then wasting energy.
3 guys in top20 and no podium. It was a failure on our part.
Next is TDU where our Australians hope to show their form.

Next is Santos Tour Down Under. It will be a good race, the next names have announced participation:
Hushovd
Boonen
Devolder
McEwen
Ballan
VandeVelde was invited to Tour of Quatar but we turned it down as the fee was not worth it.
Also, we signed another sponson who wants a top10 in Dauphne de Libere.

Santos Tour Down Under stage 1
The stage is mostly flat but with a hard hill about 30km from the finish.
Our team was mainly Australian. Dean will act as lead-out to Hunter while Lowe waits for Willunga.
The first part of the race was hectick.
Meyer managed to get away but he had no chance against Rosseler in the intermediate sprint.
It was the same in the second sprint but 2nd breakaway group was about to catch them.
Hoogerland took the mountain sprint convicingly.
Sijmens narrowly edged out Meyer.
With a maximum lead of 4 minutes the break had no chance. It was cought 20km from the line.
Dean got into a good position next to Boonen, Hunter on his tail.
But then disaster struck as they lost the wheel.
Meanwhile, Goss positioned himself behind Lorenzetto. Freire was on his tail.
It was between Freire, Goss and McEwen who put in a nice spurt. Lorenzetto and Boonen provided the spectators for the fight.
And McEwen left it too late. He edged out Goss but Freire could celebrate.
Our riders didn't manage to get in front.

Garmin was the only team to lose time. The team lost 4 minutes as only 2 men finished in the peleton. Lowe lost time because of a crash and others found the hills too hard. Bert Grabsch also fell and retired.

Santos Tour Down Under stage 2
Todays stage is even flatter than yesterday
In the first sprint Bobridge, our escaper of the day only managed 3rd.
Looks like Robobank decided to hold the leader jersey. The tempo is not hight but gap holds at 2 minutes.
Wilson takes the hilltop in front of Euskatel rider known for their climbing ability, he has a great feeling. Unfortunatelly the peleton is showing at the foot of the ascend.
At 20 km to go the escape group took some losses. Bobridge and Wilson are still in there. Wilson is ok but Bobridge is starting to suffer.
At 10km to go the peleton is looking omnious at the back.
And with 5km still to ride the pack swallows Wilson, the last botd man. The sprint trains are forming, Dean and Hunter are behind Boonen who looks strong.
Traksel can't handle the speed in the corners and brings McEwen down with him. Poor guy just came back from injury break.
And Boonen rides into them. Dean tries desperatelly to avoid.
But he can't maintain his balance and hits the ground. Hunter goes down too, looks like our day is over.
But Wilson suddenly finds himself in the top10 and surprisingly enough has power left. He battles with Breschel who wear the Danish National Champion jersey.
Meanwhile a lightyear ahead (actually the same group but a lot ahead) Dumolin battles with Hagen and it looks like Lorenzetto might overtake both, he has speed.
But luckily enough the finishline comes first. Cofidis can celebrate a nice victory.
Wilson leaves Breschel and Goss behind him but he can't overtake the Belarus champion,
Luckily enough, Dean and Hunter don't lose time and Wilson took a nice 7th place.

Santo Tour Down Under stage 3
Today is the hilly stage. We don't have riders for this but perhaps with some luck we will get a bunch sprint.
Not long into the stage Gasparotto (Astana) managed to fall on his own.
T.Meyer was 3rd in sprint behind Oroz (Euskatel) and Lancaster (Cervelo).
In the KoM sprint he was 2nd behind Oroz (Euskatel). It took a lot out of him, lets hope he can stay with the break.
The peleton has them in sight. Nuyens, Plaza and Boom doing most of the work. We are suffering on the hill but lucily the tempo relents after it.
At 10km to go, Lowe gets Dean in position, he is feeling goos today.
Hunter who is not that fresh is looking for another wheel a little back.
At 5km to go Dean has Boonens wheel, the hills are tireing him. Meanwhile Hunter can be seen near him.
When the sprint starts Lowe finds himself in a good position but he is tired.
Dean swiches to Dumolins wheel.
Dean swiches to fastmoving Freire. Lorenzetto is leading in front of O'Grady who is closing.
But Dumolin puts in a sudden burst of speed, Dean made a very wrong move, he is boxed behind Freire and looks tired.
Freire pulls even with the front 2. Boasson Hagen is lurking behind them and Dean just wishes the finish line was nearer.
Dean has to look Freire raise his arms, O'Grady is fading and is overtaken by Hagen who profited from Freire's slipstream.
Dumolin shows his win was not just luck.
Dean is 8th, Hunter in top20.

Santo Tour Down Under stage 4
Probably the best stage for sprinters.
In the first KoM sprint Bobridge too 2nd behind Vaugerand who attacked out of the main bunch. The only other breakaway survivor Andriotto took 3rd.
Vauderand had no plan to stay away so Bobridge continiued solo and was soon joined by others. In intermediate sprint he had no chance against Geslin.
Walker from Footon managed to crash, he was the only victim.
Meanwhile the gap increased to a maximum of 4 minutes.
In the 2nd intermediate, Geslin showed even more power.
Bobridge is clearly not having a good time. He lost contact and was caught by the peleton.
Hunter is sitting behind Freire and EBH. Both are in good form and might lead us to podium.
Dean is finding it harder to get a place. Too bad because he is feeling very good. Wilson tries to get him behind Boonen.
EBH swiches from Freires wheel, it might be a big mistake.
But it turns out to be good. Freires train is slowing.
Hunter is pushed back, Chavanel and Hutarovich take a place in from of him. Dean can be shown behind Boonen.
Hammond is leading but he is clearly not going to win.
Hunter gets behind EBH but because of Chavanel and Hutarovich he had to waiste energy.
The position is good.
Dean struggles to keep up with Boonen, I kind of like his champion jersey.
Hunter makes his move but Hagen is too strong. still 2nd place is very good.
Dean is also passed by Freire who was pretty fast after his bad position. 2 men in top6, I am very happy.

Santo Tour Down Under stage 5
And here we have the Willunga, it is very often the decisive stage. Lowe will try to attack, Hunter and Dean will try too if they are feeling good.
There are a lot of attacks, Wilson gets away on his 2nd try.
He is joined by the likes of JJ Haedo and Theo Bos.
In the sprint he is sandwitched between Perez (Euskatel) and Kohler (BMC) both litterally and intermediat sprint results.
In the 2nd sprint he leaves nothing to chance.
With the gap maximum of 3 an a half minutes, Rabobank is lone at the front.
First time at Willung it is difficult for Wilson.
He makes it back only to be caught by the peleton driven by Caisse on the second hill.
On top O'Grady attacks, Lowe is feeling good and follows. Breakaway survivor Oroz is still in front.
They won't get anywhere.
Oroz is brought back, Caisse is going hard.
Hunter and Dean have a bad day. Lowe is feeling his earlier attack but gets a good position behind Mandri.
Hunter is behind boonen, Dean a little back and Lowe further ahead.
Lets hope they are not the only ones tired.
With 8km to go Reinshaw falls, no significant riders are affected.
Dumolin got a perfect leadout from Sijmens and looks good for a win, Lorenzetto trieing to challenge.
Our riders are beat, nothing today.
Dumolin raises his hands and once again Freire comes from a bad position to 2nd.

Santo Tour Down Under stage 5
Flat city circut. Should be good for our team.
Botd included Swift and Zubeldia, we are not present.
Rabobank holds the gap at 3,5 minutes with 50km to go.
A lot of team help with 20km to go and the pace is fast.
Devolder and Bos eat dirt. we are lucky, they were just behind Hunter.
Dean hit the ground. He takes a lot of riders with him.
Hunter can be seen behind EBH, Wilson is in front too.
Falls come...
...and come. Hoste is down.
Sutton and Hagen are side-to-side with Sieberg and Goss. Hunter is behind them waiting.
Meanwhile, Radioshack sent riders back to help Rast.
Looks like the Sky train won. It could be our win if Hunter has strenght. Wilson follows Reinshaw.
Hunter makes the move...
... and he doesn't have the strenght.
Freire surprises again with a god acceleration
Wilson beats Reinshaw and Dumolin for a top10 finish. This youngster is on fire.
Flecha celebrates the win.
Horner leads Rast group. They lost 3 minutes and a top10 place.
