Paris Nice
Stage 3
img191.imageshack.us/img191/7772/parisnice3profile.jpg
Team Meeting: This is a very important stage for our squad. We will rest for the first half then really put the hammer down in the 2nd half and get someone ahead of the peloton to wait up and support the leader. (Valverde or LL Sanchez depending on their form).

At the beggining of the stage a break of 3 riders got away but they were al separated and rode alone the whole stage. At the point of the 2nd mountain sprint our rider Gutierrez attacked looking for some mountain points.img191.imageshack.us/img191/852/parisnice3gutierrez.jpg
Jose Ivan got 2nd over that hill and then got 2nd over the next hill. Now there was only one hill to go.
Our team photographers car broke down around this point so there was a lack of photos. but he managed to get a good shot of Gutierrez going thru a small town just before the last hill.
img32.imageshack.us/img32/8915/parisnice3break.jpg

Alejandro Valverde was in perfect position for the final climb but he was waiting for Anthony Charteau to hand him his water bottles. Because of this and the fact that attacks from big names were going thick and fast we told LL sanchez to attack and attck he did. img191.imageshack.us/img191/2386/parisnice3sanchez.jpg
He ended up being the 3rd rider over the last hill and formed a 3 man brek with Tomas Voeckler and John Gadret. They reached a max of 38 seconds over the next group.
img32.imageshack.us/img32/5852/parisnice3sprint.jpg
Sanchez decided to let Voeckler make thge first move and that looked like the right decision.....
img197.imageshack.us/img197/2755/parisnice3winner.jpg
But obviiously it wasn't the right choice because he just couldn't hold on. John Gadret who did finish with the same time never had a chance of the stage victory.

Stsge Overview: We are very pleased with the results Sanchez is now 1st Overall will be our leader for the rest of the race.
Anthony Charteau was interviewed by the local tv adressing the water bottle issue that held up Valverde station and Charteau was quoted of saying "I made a mistake today I dropped his water bottle and for that I am sorry."

Stage 4 of Paris Nice
img682.imageshack.us/img682/2159/parisnice4profile.jpg

Team Meeting: We are happy with Luis Sanchez's form at this point but we still beleive in Valverde so today is the stage where we will decide the leader for the rest of the race. If Sanchez can hold on to the Yellow then he will be leader but if Sanchez can keep pace with the bigguns then Valverde will be the leader. We will still try to get Gutierrez some KOM points but our team will mainly work for a good lead out on the mountain for one of our 2 keaders.

img3.imageshack.us/img3/8357/parisnice4startj.jpg
The stage began very slow for our team but the front end of thepeloton was working hard to pull back the first breakaway.

img713.imageshack.us/img713/534/parisnice4break1.jpg
The peloton in the end decided to let the break go even though a big name like Freire was there. The rider with the best chance to take Yellow if the break was going to succed was the Euskatel rider Aramendia who was 1:20 back.

img697.imageshack.us/img697/1023/parisnice4break2.jpg
At the first big climb of the day Jose Ivan Gutierrez attacked looking for some KOM points but he was to slow and didn't catch up to the break until it was too late.

img713.imageshack.us/img713/4206/parisnice4break3.jpg
On the decent Jose Ivan caught up to the break.
img713.imageshack.us/img713/5518/parisnice4break4s.jpg
Samuel Sanchez and Tomas Voeckler went off the front and caught and passed the breakaway. They were now first on the road. And gaining time fast.

img713.imageshack.us/img713/3400/parisnice4sancheztrublel.jpg
At the very foot of the climb Luis Leon Sanchez was showing signs of struggle so in an effort to catch the rest of gaurd he attacked to no prevail gaining only 9 seconds.

img218.imageshack.us/img218/8633/parisnice4valverde.jpg
With a big attack by Leiphemer and Samuel Sanchez and Voeckler already being way ahead Valverde attacked. Valverde ended up with Leiphemer and they both helped each other so that they could catch the leading group of Sanchez and Voeckler.
img41.imageshack.us/img41/3539/parisnice4valverde2.jpg
On the decent Valverde and Co reeled in Sanchez but now Voeckler was all alone with 8km to go could he do it. Valverde was going to have to pull hard. But Valverde was thinking of staying back to help LL sanchez who was 45 second behind valverde and all alone. But at this point there was 3km to go and no point so he kept on going.
img691.imageshack.us/img691/3183/parisnice4voeckler.jpg
Tomas Voeckler turns round the last corner before a very long straight to the finsh line.

img3.imageshack.us/img3/1704/parisnice4winner.jpg
Voeckler wins he surprised me with that victory.

Stage 1
img526.imageshack.us/img526/2301/tirreno1profile.jpg
Team Meeting: We will protect Rojas over the climbs so that he can participate in the sprint. A podium place on this stage is what we are looking for.

The stage was very slow nothing really happened until the final climb.
img94.imageshack.us/img94/2753/tirreno1lastman.jpg
The last man from the breakaway was caught. Just in time for riders to have a go at some KOM points.

But on the decent is where everything happened.
img693.imageshack.us/img693/7296/tirreno1crash.jpg
There was an enormous crash involving Gilberto Simoni, Igor Anton, and Tshopp.
img13.imageshack.us/img13/3476/tirreno1crash2.jpg Here is another shot of the crash showing other riders included in this picture are Rovny,Petrov,Aurelian Duval and Duran, and here is the major favurite;
img94.imageshack.us/img94/4489/tirreno1crash3.jpg
This is Ivan Basso, Manuel Quinzato also crashed with him.

img688.imageshack.us/img688/3269/tirreno1leadout.jpg
Lastras was feeling very good and he went up to set the pace. Rojas folowed him and he got a good lead out from Lastras.
img710.imageshack.us/img710/3350/tirreno1400m.jpg
This is what it looked like with 400m to go and with Rojas apraoching fast we could have a stage victory!

img94.imageshack.us/img94/5390/tirreno1winner.jpg
We got robbed on the line by Vladimir Gusev? He actually won a sprint stage. Anyway we exceded our goals so this was a good stage all that we can hope is that all the riders that crashed are fine.

After the stage Serramenti had a press conference adressing their team leader Gilberto Simoni.
"We are here to sadly inform you all that Gilberto Simoni has a fractured Kneecap and will be gone until the end of May. He finished the last few kilometres complaining about his knee. We took him in for X-rays and it showed a break in his Knee."img688.imageshack.us/img688/8918/simonistats.jpg

Stage 5 of Paris Nice
img62.imageshack.us/img62/6325/parisnice5profile.jpg
Team Meeting: We will go all out today. Valverde looks to be strong and we hope he can gain 2min on Voeckler. we don't want the Yellow just yet we want Bbox t odo all the work and then on the mountain Voeckler will not have anybody to help him. This means we might send a "bigger" rider out into the break.

img713.imageshack.us/img713/1993/parisnice5break.jpg
This is the break we didn't get in it today but there was some big riders in it already like Gerrans, and Flecha

img62.imageshack.us/img62/4849/parisnice5break2.jpg
Just a nice shot of the break going thru a small town with about 70km to go and still 4:35 on the peloton.

img246.imageshack.us/img246/521/parisnice5sanchez.jpg
Starting the last climb the break had not been caught. Moncoutie attacked and Sanchez (caisse) decided to counter but he didn't have much in his legs today and got caught by the peloton.

img59.imageshack.us/img59/8927/parisnice5valverde.jpg
But lucky for us it was Alejandro Valverde's day and he flew by Moncoutie and Trofimov and was now just :45 seconds behind the First place man on the road Christian Meier of Garmin.

img5.imageshack.us/img5/8036/parisnice5valverde2.jpg
Valverde had caught up to Meier but Dries Devenyns had passed Meier. Either way it was only a matter of time before Alejandro becomes the first man on the road.
img231.imageshack.us/img231/2972/parisnice5crowds.jpg
Valverde had passed Devenyns and was all alone. The crowds had come to see cycling at it's best and they sure saw it today. But the only question was now is who is going to win Valverde Or Samuel Sanchez who had made quite a comeback to put the gap at around 15 seconds.

img689.imageshack.us/img689/5585/parisnice5winner.jpgValverde ends up winning. It was a great stage for al of us now Valverde is 1:14 back of Voeckler but LL Sanchez is now 4th in -25 competition.

img3.imageshack.us/img3/4323/tirreno2profile.jpg

Team Meeting: We hope to stay with the pack all day. Don't loose any time to the favourites.

img96.imageshack.us/img96/7756/tirreno2break.jpg
This was the break today containing Eisel and O'Grady.

img25.imageshack.us/img25/8544/tirreno2mountain.jpg
On the final climb Eisel cracked and O'Grady was all alone.

img20.imageshack.us/img20/1228/tirreno2leaders.jpg
These were the chasers looking to catch up to O'Grady.
Roche,Cunego,Armstrong,Rodriguez,And pereiro

img34.imageshack.us/img34/8850/tirreno2armstrong.jpg
At the moment O'Grady was being caught Armstrong went on a massive acceleration and gained 19 seconds over the rest. He had only 1km to go. It looked like a Armstrong victory but could we pull him back.

img85.imageshack.us/img85/3351/tirreno2winner.jpg
No we couldn't catch him he was too strong today.

Stage 3 of Tirreno
img98.imageshack.us/img98/1963/tirreno3profile.jpg
Team Meeting: This should be a fun stage with all the hills. We will try to get Rojas or Rodriguez set up for a good position for a win.

img94.imageshack.us/img94/7082/tirreno3break.jpg
This is the break Jeaneson got into it today.

img85.imageshack.us/img85/4131/tirreno3biggroup.jpg
With 90km to go a big group with some big names fromed and got 1:45 over the peloton this group included the likes of Basso, Maaskant, Gusev, Quinzato, and Mazzanti.

img94.imageshack.us/img94/4909/tirreno3rojas.jpg
then rojas made a attack with 20km to go and made it passed the big group. But Basso and Mazzanti caught up.

img521.imageshack.us/img521/6702/tirreno3rojas2.jpg
Then Schleck made it and so did Cunego.

With 8km to go it looked like someone from this roup was going to win.
img695.imageshack.us/img695/858/tirreno3lastkm.jpg
Now going round the final bend Cunego had the lead.

img63.imageshack.us/img63/9827/tirreno3winner.jpg
It was Cunego all the way today but a nice result by Rojas to finish 2nd.

I read it! Don't stop... I have the same problem with my story, its probably because it's not '09! But hell!

The Pro Tour leader jersey of Cd'E looks really cool!

P.S; what are the stats of Jonathan Hivert Skil - Shimano in your DB!? Thanks...

Stage 7 of Paris Nice
img714.imageshack.us/img714/6370/parisnice7profile.jpg
Team Meeting: Today we will try to get into the break and get as many KOM points as possible. And on the last climb Valverde will attack and try to gain time on Voeckler.

img300.imageshack.us/img300/4280/parisnice7break.jpg
The day started with a bang. there was quite a few attacks and Charteau eventually got himself in the break along with some big names like freire, Ljungqvist,Calzati the breakaway specialist and Duque, Wegelius,

During the day Charteau was first to every KOM point up to this climb the very last of the day. There was no hurry to get over this climb and start the decnt cuase the break still had 2:51 over the peloton.img688.imageshack.us/img688/1794/parisnice7break2.jpg
When they reached the KOM banner nobody attacked not evn Charteau because he was resting for a chance to win the stage. At this point it was not likely that the break would be caught.

Meanwhile a bunch of attacks had been made at the top of the climb by bignames (pretty much every bigname except Voeckler. Valverde felt like attacking and he did. LL Sanchez went with him to support and form a relay.img231.imageshack.us/img231/9921/parisnice7valverde.jpg

img694.imageshack.us/img694/3826/parisnice7valverde2.jpg
And becasue of the relay they had caught many straglers inlcuding Enrico Maggazini of Lampre and Gregory Rast of Astana.

img14.imageshack.us/img14/132/parisnice7valverde3.jpg
With only a few 3 Km's to go Pavel Brutt caught up to Valverde and Sanchez. But Sanchez really wanted to pass him and when the time came in the sprint he did pass Brutt but mainly he was doing it as a leadout effort for Valverde.

img689.imageshack.us/img689/4403/parisnice7winner.jpg
At the exact same time that the sprint was starting for Valverde and Co Ljungqvist had won the stage.

img713.imageshack.us/img713/4852/parisnice74th.jpg
