11th. Not very bad, considering I wanted a top 10 and I even got a stage win.
Duo Normand is up next for my team and I hope Gutiérrez Palacios and Kiryenka to put a strong ride. But we all know who is going to win. |

Oh, damn you Kunshin! The stage win would have secured me the 3rd overall Bole lost the KoM too, so a pretty bad stage for me

Good Race. I would have liked to score more points but Donals fulfilled our second season goal with a top 5 overall.

Wow, thats weird - the King of the Mountains changed after Stage 3 - despite it being a TT. Serov led with 6 points after Stage 2 level with Bole - but after Stage 3 Bole had the lead (still 6 pts)

Individual Rankings
Valverde still leads, but a 2nd HC GC victory leads Cornu up to 2nd - Valverde remains in the drving seat though, both have just a classic left. Valverde could win 80 pts, but Cornu can only manage 40 for a win in Duo Normand.
Ginanni is up to 5th, while Danielsons hopes fade as Missouri ends with a drop in rankings for him. Lloret is up to 8th, Nocentini 11th as 2 sprinters (Granjel Cabrera and van Heerden) re-enter the Top 15.

Team Rankings
Britain and Missouri have given us 2 of the 3 highest team scores from a race all season. Wiggle took an important 385 from Britain, just below SL Benfica's record of 405 from way back in Tachira. But Jack Wolfskin absolutely smash that - a tally of 546! They are now promoted alongside Sony Ericsson, who remain fairly safe on top of the division.
The battle is really picking up behind though. Nespresso edged into 4th - the 3rd promotion spot - but 22 pts less and they would not be in the promotion zone at all. Energie Diesel and Starbucks now tied on 3152. Vespa remain a threat on 3011 with Wiggle right in contention now on 2910, with possibly the strongest end-season run in of the promotion candidates. IKEA and Olympus may now struggle to do it, but will still need to push in their battle for the Top 10 with Santander and BMC.
After AON in 13th its looking pretty tight for the rest of the Top 20, while Ernst & Young have broken into the Top 25.

Can Valverde not get 140 for Milano Torino, not sure whether you mean 40 or 80 for Duo Normand, but assuming Cornu wins either
Valverde needs 1 point (top 30) or 41 points (top 7) both of which should be done. I still reckon Taaramea is the biggest favourite.

This is nice, we secured the second spot, while Cornu has a nice chance to get a top 3 place in the individual rankings.
And mb, Cornu will take 40 points from Duo Normand if Jack Wolfskin wins, the other 40 going to Reus. So yeah Cornu isn't the real threat for Valverde

Really weird, indeed. But I don't think it is related to the problem I had, but to a Cyanide failure.
About promotion, Wiggle is definately a contender and probably a promoted team. My team just have to hold off the remaining teams. |
