Anyone else think that races with only sprint stages are really dumb?

You mean flat stages?
Only end in sprints because of what the riders do. Not my favorite kind of races, but for me, every race has it's place. Guy that won this one ended up getting away on one stage didn't he?

one break got away, one guy stayed away after going with 20km to go. and in one sprint Pettachi gained 2 seconds on the next sprinter due to the slope.
Not that bad a tour then.

Yeah, flat stages.
In Europe, w/ race radios and all that, a flat stage means a sprint 99% of the time.

I just found a link to a livticker for Besseges, only to find out the race finished 10 min. ago...
Anyway, Bozic won, Eeckhout second.
Toute l'équipe Vacansoleil est aux avant-postes du peloton pour le slovène Borut Bozic, grand favori en cas d'arrivée au sprint.
Vacansoleil is strong in the beginning of this season. I expect some good results by them the next few weeks. (Mainly by Hoogerland, who seems to be in form rather early.)
1 Borut Bozic (Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team) 2 Nico Eeckhout (An Post-Sean Kelly) 3 Arnaud Molmy (Team Roubaix-Lille Métropole) 4 Sébastien Chavanel (Française des Jeux) 5 Grégory Joseph (Topsport Vlaandren-Mercator) 6 Fabien Bacquet (Bigmat-Auber 93)

Stage 2 is nearly over. Bozic is gonna win it again. There's noone in front, and the final 300 meters are slightly uphill. Perfect for him.
edit; Guess what?

Yeah, 3 racedays, 2 vicotries and a second place.
Don't forget though, that Bozic is the best sprinter in Bessege by a mile so... Not too much of a suprize there.

That's almost an exact copy of yesterday's results.
Is there a chance for a stage not ending in a mass sprint? How did Voeckler win it last year?

From what I know (from PCM ) they have at least one hilly stage every year, which doesn't end in a mass sprint.

Todays finish(last 400m) was on a small 'côte'; and it was enough for Bozic to be beaten;
1 Samuel Dumoulin (Cofidis, Le Crédit en Ligne)
2 Borut Bozic (Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team)
3 Tom Veelers (Skil-Shimano)
4 Nico Eeckhout (An Post-Sean Kelly)
He easily remains leader though. 1-1-2, not bad results at all

And in Italie, Petacchi won the G.P. Costa degli Etrusch again, unsuprizingly.
