Crue, do we have award "Dreams, that won't come true"? If yes, i think we have a solid contender. |

Come on guys, that is just one step lower than believing that Cunego will ever win the Giro again. |

Mark my words
Armstrong wins Tour
Cavendish wins green jersey and WC
Cancellara wins RVV
Boonen won't win Roubaix
Giro will go to Sastre ( If he goes there like it's being said ). |

I think Evans has a shot at winning a GT. Also Farrar will get his first Tour stage, Vino will fail miserably, and some Garmin rider will have a great Tour who isnt Vande Velde |

Well, he did return to cycling with a youth team... |

If you talk about Specialized team, I thought he was only a counselor for 2010 and could ride back for 2011.
Anyway, since we won't see Di Luca for quite a long time, I would agree with your "hopes" and like to see Boogie win the Amstel, and a stage on TdF? |

Hincapie will win Paris-Roubaix at last, and will stop his career at the end of the season, Guesdon for a top 5 and stops his career too.
Contador will lost TdF on the cobble stage (fall), Cancellara winning on this day, taking at least 5 minutes on all favs, so that he can keep the yellow jersey for a while.
Cyril Gautier to become the new Voeckler, and Ricco the new Pantani...
Evans will win LBL, or at least a top 3 with F. Schleck and Cunego, Andy will work for his bro.
And PCM2010 will be the new most incredible whiter than white cycling sim... 99% the same than 09... |

Thor Hushovd will win Paris - Roubaix Not close at all, but hey, 2nd is almost 1st
A non-Italian will win the Giro
Lövkvist will finish above Wiggins in the TDF, which is won by AC Looks like it'll come true
EBH will win a TDF stage Almost - if you can call two 3rds "almost". Could still come true
Katusha will have a positive doping test from one of it's big names Almost - Kolobnev named in investigation, Kirchen heart problem maybe related to doping
All except the Giro one were pretty close or right

Some Tour de France predictions:
Another Garmin rider will do better in the overall GC than Vande Velde.
Fuglsang will finish above F. Schleck in the GC.
Armstrong won't finish in the top-3 in the Tour.
And the bold one: Contador won't win the Tour.
Congratulations on the first three, you're not lucky at all |

Oooooh this will be fun

Here's my bold prediction: If he's not banned by then, Valverde will win Paris-Nice
In my defence, Contador was scheduled to ride Tirreno at the time
And Valverde did finish second (well...not anymore)

Here's another round:
- People will realize Farrar is nowhere near as good as they think he is in a sprint, but just has a knack for following the right wheel
- People will realize Farrar is far more rounded than they give him credit for when he's right there in the mix on the cobbles
His injuries have prevented these two from being evaluated

Mostly right. Terminillo, nothing. Monte Grappa, nothing (if you don't count a non-contender and an injured guy being predictably distanced), Pejo Fonti nothing, Queen Stage nothing. Mortirolo, thankfully Basso dropped the hammer.

- Petacchi will show he still has it (he was faster than Cavendish at the Giro last year, you don't go from that to zero in one year). He'll also miss the Tour through no fault of his own....but really, will that surprise anyone? It happens every year
I still can't believe Petacchi wasn't hit by a meteorite this year.....since something always happens to him so he won't ride the Tour
Well, the Mantova investigation happened....just a few weeks too late
And he did show he still has it.

This thread is funny.
Who predicted all this stuff? Oh wait, december 2009 when we were all enjoying the off season.

that's quite harsh given I reckon the Giro was the best grand tour of the past 3-4 years. Maybe not much happened on the mountains, but everywhere else it was insane
Damn, looks like I didn't predict anything, guess I keep my 100% success rate then
