After a great Marseille GP we are back in France, this time for stage race, Etoile de Besseges. Duque is our leader for both the sprints and the hilly stages. Sijmens and Domoulin are also here and they should do their best helping Duque in the sprints.
There are no real big names riding here, most known being Sella, Coppel and Van Huffel so Duque is rated as the big favourite to take the overall win.
1. L.Duque
2. M.Buffaz
3. S.Dumoulin
4. J.Keukelerie
5. S.Minard
6. D.Monier
7. N.Sijmens
8. T.Valentin

Etoile de Besseges - Stage 1
A lot of riders try to make the surprise but today's criterium it's made for the sprinters
And thanks to Buffaz and a few Skil riders we are going to have a mass sprint today
Our train is ready for the mass sprint, Sijmens and Domoulin leading the way out for Duque
And with 4 kilometers before the finish Sijmens was already leading the pack
Cofidis are clearly in front when the sprint starts and Domoulin is ready to take the lead from Sijmens anytime
With 2 kilometers to go Domoulin is leading - out Duque while the other teams can hardly keep it up with us
1.5 kilometers before the finish Duque makes his move and takes the lead from Dumoulin
In the final kilometer Duque is leading but Bacquet and Rooijkkers are coming quite close
Siedler is also coming quite fast and Duque seems to be in real trouble
Few meters before the finish he took the lead from Duque, this clearly isn't good for our leader
Siedler wins the first stage, with Duque just third in the end

nope. It was actually Sijmens and Domoulin's bad fitness that kept me away from winning the stage. Duque was left all by himself too early

Etoile de Besseges - Stage 2
13 riders in today's breakaway. This could be a real threat for the pack
And with 15 kilometers before the finish they still had one minute advantage over the pack
But only five kilometers later on the penultimate hill of the day they were almost caught
Cedric Pineau was the only escape that survived that climb
But he was caught with 3 kilometers before the finish, on the last uphill section of the day. At the same time Duque was trying on attack on the other side of the road
He made it after all and that put him in a good position for the sprint
In the last kilometer he is still leading with Haguet the only real threat
Haguet is trying everything he can but Duque seems to be just too strong
And it's a win for Duque!

Etoile de Besseges - Stage 3
There were 14 riders in the day's breakaway, including the KoM jersey wearer, Giling. But today's climbs are pretty steep and he didn't manage to take any points so he lost the jersey to Vachon
The escapes reached the last slopes of the day, 20km before the finish with an advantage of 1 minute and a half over the pack
But behind them the big attacks started with Coppel. He was followed by a lot of strong riders and after an while they managed to join the breakaway group
Duque was also one of the attackers
With 10km before the finish Mombaerts, one of the attackers that even left the escapes behind, is leading the race
He is closely followed by Van Huffel
In the third position we have a chasing group with pretty much all the attackers and all the escapes, including Duque
7 kilometers before the finish Duque attacked as well as other riders
They managed to catch Van Huffel before the 5 kilometer banner, but Mombaerts was still in the lead
Duque was the only rider able to join Mombaerts there, with just 3 kilometers before the finish
Even though the others are not far away it's going to be between them for the stage win
Duque is clearly the strongest sprinter there, but Mombaerts seems to have a great day and he is able to hang on
200 meters before the finish is still very close
But it's Duque who takes the win. 2nd stage win in a row for the Colombian rider and he is now the new leader of the race
