I'd Rather forget: The Tour de France. Some stages where they put mountains on 30k of the finnish
Memorable Points: Cav vs Haussler @ MSR, Flecha & Hoste crashing @ PR, QS's team performance @ RVV. Devolder, Gilbert & Boonen winning the same race two years in a row, Dekker getting caught, Hoogerlands performances, the entire WC RR
I won't forget: what Ive had for breakfast this morning
Best point of the season: I liked the Giro mountain stages, on the vesuvius etc, and the suspense that lasted til last TT
Race of the Year: Worlds RR
Rider of the Year: Gilbert/Cavendish Gilbert did well almost all season, same goes for Cav who won where and how he wanted in sprints
Low Point: Armstrong/Contador litlle bitchy fight during and after the TdF, well actually the whole Astana novel during the Tour I'd Rather forget...: Nuno Ribeiro testing positive for CERA after dominating Volta a Portugal. Also Valverde wiining the Vuelta... Memorable Points (for good or bad): Rui Costa winning an HC race in is 1st PT year, Nelson Oliveira taking silver in U23 TT WC I won't forget...: not to watch TdF next year... ah and Horrilo's fall Best point of the season: Armstrong not getting the yellow by just 0.00000000001s Race of the Year: WC RR there's no way I could disagree Rider of the year it gotta be Cav! (damn it)

Low Point: Theo Bos pushing Daryl Impey in the Tour of Turkey. He should be ashamed much more than all the dopers IMO. I'd Rather forget...: One Serbian Eurosport commentator. We have one that is great, and one who blabbers all kinds of bullcrap throughout the race, and knows jack shit about cycling. Memorable Points (for good or bad): The gigantic crash in the 4th stage of the Vuelta, Chuck Norris celebrating the ITT WC win 200m before the finish line, Columbia's one two in Paris, etc. I won't forget...: The look on Tony Martin's face when he fell short of winning the Ventoux stage in TdF Best point of the season: When Valverde allowed Szmyd to win the Ventoux stage in Dauphine. Race of the Year: World Road Race Rider of the Year: Valverde?
say what you want but Mount Ventoux is always interesting, no mather what. it is just a matter of the angle you're looking at it.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?
If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord will delete my browser history.
Low Point: Everybody crashing at Paris-Roubaix and handing the win to Boonen on a plate, also Di Luca, most of the TdF route
I'd Rather forget...: Armstrong pouting on the podium at the TdF - for goodness sake, you've just come third in the Tour after 3 years out of the game....cheer up you mean-spirited git!!
Memorable Points (for good or bad): Menchov crashing in the final TT of the Giro, Cav catching Haussler to win MSR, Contador losing the plot on the final stage of the Paris Nice, Cav and Hushovd having their mini-sprint at the top of the Ventoux
I won't forget...: The look on Haussler's face after he'd been caught by Cavendish in the MSR - now that was one unhappy guy!
Best point of the season: David Harmon "That's Bollocks J.C.!" at the Worlds
Jens Voigt's interview about how Andy Schleck can win the Tour if a bear attacks the Astana team in the mountains (see below - don't worry, it is in English!)
Rider of the Year: difficult one - Wiggo and Cav are in the hunt, Valverde (cough, spit) did very well, possibly Evans for fighting back in the Vuelta after the puncture and for winning the Worlds......dunno really!

he was the fittest of them all. you don't fall unless you have already given too much. Or unless the bystander tips you over / the guy in front of you falls.

I agree, and when Flecha crashed with 15km to ride he took out Hoste and slowed Van Summeren and Pozzato, which allowed Boonen and Hushovd to get away. There's no denying that Boonen was very strong, but there's no certainty that he would have won if Flecha hadn't gone down when he did, and that's what ruined the race for me.
