My advice, use 2 riders with about 80 km to go, most of the time some other teams will take over, and good results, keep it up!

I will try everthing to defend the jersey. My sponsors are already very happy for wearing the jersey at least this one day. I will post the stage tommorow late, because I personnaly have a race tommorow.

Volta ao Algarve:
Stage 2
First time I have to defend the yellow jersey. It is the stage before the storm. Tommorow is the finnish on a hill and then a time trial. I hope I can keep the yellow jersey till the time trial.
The first break at km 1
Duran, Galparsoro and Beppu were in the front followed by some small groups. Beppu attacked on each hill to get the polka dot jersey from Gnezda.
In the meantime Murn saved his energy in the pack...
which was lead by Gnezda, Svab, Signego, Fajt and Zagar.
Kump had his problem on the hills and lost contact after the last climb.
30km to go and Garmin, Rabobank, Saxo and some Skill riders took over and catched the guys in front.
The sprint began and Murn had to follow Jufrea after some guys in front lost Freire´s wheel.
1km to go and Freire has a huge gap, but will he this time be able to keep it?
He wins in front of fantastic Murn and so I could keep the jellow jersey on my shoulders!!!!!
All other guys of my team lost time today. So Murn will be the only captain in the team.
Stage:
1 Óscar Freire Rabobank 4h37'05
2 Uros Murn Adria Mobil s.t.
3 Josep Jufré Fuji - Servetto s.t.
4 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank s.t.
5 Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano s.t.
6 Tom Veelers Skil - Shimano s.t.
7 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux s.t.
8 Rein Taaramäe Cofidis, le crédit en ligne s.t.
9 Tom Boonen Quick·Step s.t.
10 Jussi Veikkanen Française des Jeux s.t.
GC:
1 Uros Murn Adria Mobil 8h46'40
2 Óscar Freire Rabobank + 12
3 Gene Bates Drapac Porsche Cycling + 20
4 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux + 24
5 Josep Jufré Fuji - Servetto s.t.
6 Ian MacGregor Team Type 1 + 28
7 Yoann Offredo Française des Jeux s.t.
8 Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano + 32
9 Normunds Lasis Cycling Club Bourgas s.t.
10 Grégory Rast Astana Cycling Team s.t.
Points:
1 Uros Murn Adria Mobil 45
2 Óscar Freire Rabobank 39
3 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux 25
4 Gene Bates Drapac Porsche Cycling 20
5 Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano 20
KOM:
1 Fumiyuki Beppu Skil - Shimano 18
2 Arkaitz Durán Fuji - Servetto 12
3 Matej Gnezda Adria Mobil 8
4 Yoann Offredo Française des Jeux 8
5 Dionisio Galparsoro Martinez Contentpolis - Ampo 6
Not much happened today. Just the KOM jersey went to other shoulders. I am happy with that stage and I hope I won´t lose it in the last climb tommorow.

If I get some more top ten results more it would be possible. I am curently on sixt place in ct ranking and not far away from fourth place. Agritubel and PSK Whirpool aren´t really interested in tirreno-adriatico. So I just can hope and get some more results till end of february.

It´s the first time I hear that. But it´s possible yes. There I am on 19th spot for now. I think in superprestige I get point for wearing and winning other jerseys too. or not?

All classifications give superprestige points, so winning points or kom jerseys too but probably less than winning GC.
Edit:
Found this in PCM08 thread, the system should be the same
CrueTrue wrote:
The higher placed in the Continental / CQRanking / Superprestige ranking you are, the more likely it is that you'll receive wild cards.
So I quess both rankings count.

Volta ao Algarve:
Stage 3
A very hard finnish with an about 2,5km climb.
The break of the day was made 3km before the first sprint
Cappecchi, Velits, Eltink and Lund lead by a maximum of 12 minutes.
100km to go my team started to hunt them
and their lead sank to 8 minutes.
Capecchi attacked in last climb and wanted to finnish the stage alone
no one could follow.
20km to go and Quickstep took over
their speed was to much for my guys, except of Murn and Fajt.
But it was a lot to late. Cappechi riding to his biggest win in career
He was the man of the day-and will ride in yellow tommorow
We still had 5km to go and Jufre attacked.
Murn and all other favourites could resppond and followed.
Murn doesn´t looks bad as the sprint beginns and he could stay in top ten
He started the sprint behind Cancellara
and from then he just lost some positions. No energy left.
Cappechi won with seven minutes left to the favourites group. Great race by him. A little bit dissapointing stage, despite I expected to lose yellow. It was a little bit to much time lost. All four riders from the breakaway group will finnish in front in the end classification. I hoped for more help from pro-tour teams.
Stage:
1 Eros Capecchi Fuji - Servetto 4h37'55
2 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank + 2'57
3 Peter Velits Team Milram s.t.
4 Theo Eltink Skil - Shimano + 3'14
5 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step + 7'07
6 Chris Horner Astana Cycling Team + 7'20
7 Fredrik Kessiakoff Fuji - Servetto + 7'45
8 Josep Jufré Fuji - Servetto + 7'55
9 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank s.t.
10 Krasimir Vasilev Palmeiras Resort / Tavira s.t.
11 David Zabriskie Garmin - Slipstream + 8'15
12 David Herrero Xacobeo - Galicia s.t.
13 Christian Knees Team Milram + 8'30
14 Uros Murn Adria Mobil + 8'42
15 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux s.t.
GC:
1 Eros Capecchi Fuji - Servetto 13h24'45
2 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank + 2'57
3 Peter Velits Team Milram + 3'07
4 Theo Eltink Skil - Shimano + 3'34
5 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step + 7'29
6 Chris Horner Astana Cycling Team + 7'42
7 Fredrik Kessiakoff Fuji - Servetto + 8'07
8 Josep Jufré Fuji - Servetto + 8'09
9 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank + 8'17
10 Uros Murn Adria Mobil + 8'32
11 David Herrero Xacobeo - Galicia + 8'37
12 David Zabriskie Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
13 Christian Knees Team Milram + 8'52
14 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux + 8'56
15 Rein Taaramäe Cofidis, le crédit en ligne + 9'04
Points:
1 Uros Murn Adria Mobil 47
2 Óscar Freire Rabobank 39
3 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank 34
4 Eros Capecchi Fuji - Servetto 27
5 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux 26
KOM:
1 Eros Capecchi Fuji - Servetto 24
2 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank 20
3 Fumiyuki Beppu Skil - Shimano 18
4 Theo Eltink Skil - Shimano 16
5 Peter Velits Team Milram 16
It looks bad for me. Murn is a worse TT-ist and good ones are about a half a minute behind him. Tommorow late I will play the 34km long TT and update it. I just can hope for a good result in last stage and maybe green jersey.

If i have yellow then after other teams calm down i put 2 worst guys up front with 56-60% depending on how fast the break is going. That way the gap doesn´t go that big.

Giro Laigueglia:
I went there with the three riders left in my team.
Vrecer,
Jarc,
Nose
The breakaway with a maximum lead of 7 minutes.
Di Luca attacked on the last climb as first
all favourites could follow, Nose too.
Vrecer just missed it.
Then the favourites gruop caught the breakaway and none of them could follow
The sprint begins and Nose in worst possible positon after losing Dall´Antonia´s wheel.
Del Nero in front but not for long
Dall´Antonia passes him with 1km to go and wins it
Nose finnished last in his group and ninth overall
a lot more was possible today Vrecer finnaly on 18th spot
Here is a foto from the results
and the winner

Volta ao Algarve:
Stage 4
I made a horrible mistake and believed that I can watch the replay after the race. Unfortunately it wasn´t so and I haven´t made any screens
And the results were bad too, but expected because my best riders Gnezda has 64 in TT. Murn just 55.
Stage:
1 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank 45'38
2 David Zabriskie Garmin - Slipstream + 9
3 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step + 31
4 Levi Leipheimer Astana Cycling Team + 43
5 Tom Danielson Garmin - Slipstream + 57
6 Stef Clement Rabobank + 58
7 Fredrik Kessiakoff Fuji - Servetto + 1'13
8 Jason McCartney Team Saxo Bank + 1'23
9 Chris Horner Astana Cycling Team + 1'24
10 Rein Taaramäe Cofidis, le crédit en ligne + 1'26
61 Matej Gnezda Adria Mobil + 3'02
85 Alessio Signego Adria Mobil + 3'34
112 Kristjan Fajt Adria Mobil+ 3'53
118 Miha Svab Adria Mobil + 4'01
120 Marko Kump Adria Mobil+ 4'04
129 Uros Murn Adria Mobil+ 4'10

4 Theo Eltink Skil - Shimano + 3'29
5 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step + 4'05
6 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank + 4'22
7 David Zabriskie Garmin - Slipstream + 4'51
8 Chris Horner Astana Cycling Team + 5'11
9 Fredrik Kessiakoff Fuji - Servetto + 5'25
10 Levi Leipheimer Astana Cycling Team + 6'19
51 Uros Murn Adria Mobil + 8'47
100 Kristjan Fajt Adria Mobil + 13'48
124 Matej Gnezda Adria Mobil + 21'18
126 Miha Svab Adria Mobil + 22'23
136 Alessio Signego Adria Mobil + 27'08
148 Jure Zagar Adria Mobil + 39'34
153 Marko Kump Adria Mobil + 49'30
Points:
1 Uros Murn Adria Mobil 47
2 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank 46
3 Óscar Freire Rabobank 39
4 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank 34
5 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step 28
Murn felt from 10th to 51st position after the time trial. The only good thing about today is that he kept the green jersey. I hope for more luck and a top three in the sprint tommorow or a breakaway gruop could finnish either. Everthing just to keep green on his shoulders.

I would love to have at least one. There are some slovenian free agents (mahoric, koren, omulec), but we have the financial crisis now. I hope I can keep the team together for next year. I am going to play last volta ao algarve stage now and will post it then. maybe even more.

Volta ao Algarve:
Stage 5
Not really a flat stage on the last day.
Mikel Nieve tried to do it alone
A small group followed but couldn´t catch him
Nieve was caught as last with 25km to go. The sprint began and Murn not in perfect position when following the train of Quickstep for Boonen.
Surprisingly Meersman is leading with 1km to go. Herrero and Cancellara behind him. Freire and Boonen won´t fight for the tonight
Finnaly Herrero wins
Murn even missed top ten and Cappechi won overall.
Stage:
1 David Herrero Xacobeo - Galicia 4h11'19
2 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank s.t.
3 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux s.t.
4 Christopher Sutton Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
5 Tom Boonen Quick·Step s.t.
6 Sébastien Rosseler Quick·Step s.t.
7 Óscar Freire Rabobank s.t.
8 Nico Sijmens Cofidis, le crédit en ligne s.t.
9 Iñigo Landaluze Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
10 Jonas Aaen Jørgensen Team Capinordic s.t.
11 Uros Murn Adria Mobil s.t.
GC:
1 Eros Capecchi Fuji - Servetto 18h25'37
2 Peter Velits Team Milram + 2'01
3 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank + 2'30
4 Theo Eltink Skil - Shimano + 3'29
5 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step + 4'05
6 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank + 4'10
7 David Zabriskie Garmin - Slipstream + 4'51
8 Chris Horner Astana Cycling Team + 5'11
9 Fredrik Kessiakoff Fuji - Servetto + 5'25
10 Levi Leipheimer Astana Cycling Team + 6'19
45 Uros Murn Adria Mobil + 8'47
102 Kristjan Fajt Adria Mobil + 17'31
125 Miha Svab Adria Mobil + 26'06,...
Points:
Not Freire and not Murn but Cancellara won it!
1 Fabian Cancellara Team Saxo Bank 66
2 Óscar Freire Rabobank 52
3 Uros Murn Adria Mobil 52
4 Gianni Meersman Française des Jeux 42
5 Anders Lund Team Saxo Bank 37
The next race will be the Giro Sardegna wich hasn´t really flat stages and so Kump, Zagar and Jarc will definently stay at home. After this race our first season goal will be a top ten finnish at GP Lugano.
