No suprise there. Dekker B-sample is positive and he admits using epo. He says he will sit out his sentence and return after.

I hope he does a Kohl and tell everything. Then he is welcome back tomorrow.

Uhhh, no. He serves his ban and does the 2 years in a non-PT squad (the unofficial pact) and then might be back where he was.

If he tells everything, then it'd be unlikely that he could come back.

You can make it back on three ways. The Miller admit and move say that you are a idiot. The Rasmussen "I have never way" and the Kohl way dont make it back.

But as soon as Millar was caught he owned up, not declared his innocence until the latest possible time.
(In some cases, they've retured and still protested their innocence).
Anyway, i still think of Millar as an ex-doper, and whilst many have welcomed him back with open arms, i haven't.

Dekker is more or less using the Basso/Ricco stance.
Don't admit anything unless you have no way out, and then say "It was a 1 time mistake"
Which he has done now.

Given his acceptance in the Italian culture, he will probably easily get an Italian conti team on his return...

The Monte Zoncolan will return in next years Giro.

Speaking of race routes, the Tour route will be anounced in 2 weeks time (14th October), that was announced a while back, but proberly useful to those who didn't know.

And by the 14th we mean a couple of days earlier thanks to newspapers leaking it.

It's a good thing for the UK cycling audience that Sky got protour, BUT...

a year at Conti level (at least) should be needed before they earn the right to go ProTour, i know they've got the riders, but the set up is brand new.

According to Neil Robinson of the Lausanne lab, most riders are using Hematide and Sestide, which are both undetectable. They're caught only when they buy on the black market what they believe is Hematide or Sestide, but turns out to be first or second generation EPO.

So they get caught cheating because they're cheated. Poetic justice Grin

Merckx's biggest Tour rival Luis OcaƱa did the same 15 years ago. It's sad.
