Memorial Marco Pantani.
I have strongest team in the startlist..two my best sprinters..( I think thits is the first time to se them in the same lineup)..Bennati has just finised Giro and has recovered from crash..(still in great shape). Ficher is at the moment getting close to TdF form..this is just race to run for him. He will also ride in Suisse tour..
So..Bennati is a leader. Like our spronsors love this race..I will give them result..
Ready for sprint..Carlstöm has helped Bennati over hills..now they start to control a situation..
..amd a sprint..Visconti opens..after him Francesco Ginanni and then Bennati still waiting..lonely LPR raider at the left side is Daniele Pietropolli..
Look Lampre..they are trying to hit with all squad..?
Inside last km..Ginanni passes Visconti..looks like this is will be easy one for Bennati..just do not get boxed there.
..and he passes..taking lead.
..and a win. This is it for Bennati ..I belive that this one helped to be over that Giro crash and take racing break..and maybe come back later to race in Vuelta. Wil see..

Dauphine will be a fun race, and the season biggest race is not far away Interesting Astana team with Contador and Armstrong, i wonder who will be team leader.........
And maybe you will get a stage win with Pelizotti, that would be good for him |

Are you kidding me? He'll win the race if he doesn't crash at least 18 times

Stage 1 (prologue)
Le Pontet - Avignon
Pellizotti is so depressed ,tyred and angry after Giro..let's hope that Dauphine leader role will cool him down. If not I am not have a reason to send him to TdF..and Basso is man for Vuelta ..so this will be important race for Pellizotti..I'm not expecting even podium place..good tour is enough.
For us this is oportunity to know better how Tour favorites are developed..
Posthuma..9. (+18 sec.)
Rogers..12. (+19 sec.)
Armstrong 3rd. (+11 sec.)
Pellizotti ..weak start..but this is just start 79. (+48 sec.)
Intresting rider Gesink..51. (+41 sec.)
Bert Grabsch 2nd. (+5 sec.)
Lang 8th. (+17 sec.)
..Cancellara..and ..another stage win.. He has been most succesful rider in 2009 season. He is just keep collecting stage wins. Good to see him back after small break..
Danielson is racing again after Giro flop..20. (+28 sec.)
Devolder 6. (+16 sec.)
Sanchez ...37. (+35 sec.)
Astarloza..17. (+26 sec.)
Zubeldia 23. (+30 sec.)
Gerdemann 11. (+18 sec.)
Andy Schleck 43. (+ 36 sec.)
Bodrogi 5. (+15 sec.)
Evans 7th. (+17 sec.)
Tony Martin 13. (+ 22 sec.)
Contador 4. (+12 sec.)
Last man in start Wiggins 10. (+18 sec.)

Good story, but, and I don't want to wind anyone up here, it's too easy for you. Either your stats are badly wrong or it's on easy. Basso second in a time trial...Ahead of Zabriskie? Absolute B*ll*cks.

Ok..another one..
This is career...there is raiders condition to look after. Basso was in the Giro third week 98 % shape...
At the first week Cunego and Valverde was together absolute dominating duo (hard to keep up..probably thanks to spring classics..they was already in top shape..
In the third week Cunego was no where...and Valverde was cracked almost on every mountain stage..
..and this was Liquigas (=Basso) primary objective..
If you like to read when I suck.. Then roll back to cobble races and spring classics..pass Giro..and then read ahead Dauphine , Suisse..TdF (not much to expect)..pass Vuelta (Basso again)..then autumn classics (probably another disaster period) |

Stage 2
Avignon - Privas
Dauphine has this year hard profile..this is only stage where sprinters have a chanche ..Corioni will be Liquigas main man today..
...and they got it. When the saw Arvesen..it's time to follow..Vanotti is trying to help Corioni has long has possible
..and Arvesen keep pushing and pushng..Vanotti cant follow that speed Corioni is in trouble..and there is O'Grady..this is already 2009 classic..Arvesen butting hammer down and O'Grady follows..they have sneaked away already few times in this season..
Sprint..great move Arvesen..he moves away and but Corioni to lead man for O'Grady..
O'Grady passes..Corioni has nothing left to respond for that..
..all alone..
...O'Grady got easy stage win..
Good that Corioni was up there..he spoiled Saxo bank triple win..Cancellara 3rd. Arvesen 4th.

After hill top Kucinsky noticed that impossible to follow first four they are way to fast..

...Evans steping away..he has done he's job..he was after leader jersey..Gerdemann will take over..
..not that easy..Contador is coming..

Stage 5
Vienne - Annemasse
Pelizotti show us little improvment yesterday. Can we expect one more step..?
48km. to go..and Moinard opens with atack..
..then Chapecchi, Garate..
...Mazzanti..
..Barredo and Moreau..total madness..looks like everyone atacking
Last hill has started..here go's Andy Schleck...same time van den Broeck pulling main group real fast..
..Contador follows..
Contador and Schleck together..they getting away?
..no way..Here comes Evans with group..
Pellizotti fighting with Gadret to get into lead group..Armstrong is there..
Contador taking lead..this is starting to hurt now..
Pellizotti is fighting..to get back into group..doesnt look good..
..and he made it..great job..
Armstrong, Zubeldia and van den Broeck..cant keep up
Before hill top..Devolder , Gesink atack..damn Pellizotti didnt need that..he has no energy to respond to atack..
..top 3 in descent..Schleck, Devolder and Evans. Strange thing was that Gesink who was in that group ..decided to not go with them..
..chase group..Armstrong is back..and at the front he is working for Cotador. Pellizotti is in that group..
3 km. before the finish line..Andy atack..
..but now..just before final km. Evans closed this gap down..now favorite should be Devolder who has just waited behind Evans
..and here they pass Schleck.
Devolder takes stage win..Evans holds a jersey
..same thing in chasers group..first go's Cobo ..then Gesink with Pellizotti..
Bigest looser today is Contador..he will need a magic in mountain stages to beat Evans..
Pellizotti much better..14th. in the GC..two hard mountain stages to go..let's see. Just continue that pattern.

Stage 6
Ville-la-Grand - Morzine
Another day in France..starting today climbers should step forward...
Strong side wind..peloton has trouble to keep it together. Pelizotti is just in case near to top..to be at the front group when split happens
Devolder atacking in descent..Moreau follows..
..sidewind..plus very nervous pack..Schleck launching short atack..way to early..but Contador follows..They come back to the group..
Another nervous person..Gesink..he looks still angry about yesterday missed descent atack
..ok last hill has started..Astraloza and Cobo go's first
..and they getting away..for a moment
Astana was taking over peloton control..they riding very fast..about 30-40 raiders group left..all back together. Then Cobo is eager to go again..at first he taking main favorites group lead...
Then just before hill top launching atack..Contador follows..Evans dont like to miss that one..
Last descent..Contador with Evans leading. Evans is like Basso in Giro ..I know now how they feeled..damn this guy always follows!
Contador atacking again..inside final km.
..and Contador takes stage win..again like Giro ..Contador always at the front..working hard ..collecting stage wins..but dont win the tour.
..Pellizotti comes with chasers group..he has survived another day..tomorrow we have hardest stage at Dauphine tour La Toussuire
