Two doping stories:
Remember Bileka? He got fired / left Silence Lotto himself earlier this year due to personal reasons. No other reasons were given, but now, he's been given a 2 year suspension by UCI for use of doping.
And Piepoli has now admitted that he has used doping. |

@MortChill: Since when do I care about Lotto?
The only thing I care about is wether they keep riding or not. I don't care if Evans or Van den Broeck get caught or fall from a mountain. |

Giro invites semi-announced.
Of the 18 ProTour teams, Euskaltel, Française des Jeux and Cofidis did not apply, and Fuji-Servetto applied but didn't get one.
8 spots are still available for wild card teams.

So you'd think that teams like Katuysha and Cervelo will apply |

Katyusha already has an invite. They're ProTour.
Cérvelo is certain to get one, as Sastre's goal is to win the Giro |

For some reason, I was reading about Allan Davis, and I stumbled upon his list of teams throughout his csreer: ONCE, Liberty Seguros, Discovery Channel, Astana and now Quick Step. He was also named in Operation Puerto.
I know you can't judge solely on teams and rumours about OP, but with that selection of teams, it's just screaming out |
