Stage 1
We went to the front of the pack to show off our colors.
Later the break of the day formed!
Fast-forwarding to the last climb we see Vicioso trying to escape the high-paced peloton
As Vicioso cracked Kloden tried his luck in the descent!
Just 1.2 km to go and Kloden seems to go for the victory!
But 600m later the pack reaches the german!
And Weggamn takes the victory!

Stage 2
A breakaway formed...
However the insane pace of the pack reeled them making way for the sprint trains in the end.
Many lost strength but Greipel was looking good!
But neither Team Columbia couldn't keep the train at front! In the end it was Wegmann the green jersey who had the best positioning!
His acceleration made it clear to everyone that he would take the second victory in a row!
The real fight was for the 2nd place! Albasini defeated Greipel!!
Btw Kloden and Vicioso were our only men finishing in the peloton!! If the pace is going to maintain like this till the end I believe my team will be reduced to 3 riders at the middle of the Tour
Stage
1 Fabian Wegmann Team CSC Saxo Bank 3h41'29

ok he's no Cavendish but in this Tour I'd rate him as the 3rd best sprinter after Petacchi and Napolitano and at the same level as Gasparotto.
Besides all that he should be doing much more than fighting for a 2nd place in a sprint envolving Wegmann and Albasini!

Look at the last hill. Albasini and Wegmann are both good puncheurs. So they lost no energy there, while Greipel had some diffcults maintaining the pace (yes I'm sure). In PCM08 in that kind of stages the punchi-sprinters win not those that suck on hills

It didn't look that decisive while I was playing it but you're the sprinting expert.
High Mountains already present in stage 3

Stage 4
A great day ahead of us today! Le Peyresourde, L'Aspin and le Tourmalet were part of the stage profile!
A brekaway formed with Gilbert, Stangelj, santaromita, Luengo, Laurent, Talabardon and a Bouygues rider...
The Peyresourde started and imeadiately Astana pulled out to the front of the bunch.
At the summit the KoM contenders presented themselves with several attacks in the peloton! Anton, Soler and Cobo were the first!
Pauriol, Rodriguez and Leipheimer (!!!) followed...
as well as Voigt, V.Efimkin and the french hope Moncoutié, however the 5 points left by the escapees wouldn't have a big impact on the KoM GC.
Same scenery at the top of Le Col D'Aspin. The pace was steady but not that much.
And at last Le Tourmalet! With Rabobank and Astana in control the attacks started.
Many attempts were made but Ten Dam did an awesome job! After reeling in the break of the day he imposed a very high pace too hard for most of the riders!
But finally someone was able to do something relevant! It was A.Schleck with Evans on his tail!
Contador went right after them!!
But niether Menchov nor Kloden let them go by themselves!
And then.... crap! the laptop ran out of battery! shit! I wasn't able to take any more SS (sorry).
Anyway all of them were caught by the main group! Kloden passed through pretty tough moments but he was able to hold onto the leading pack of 31 riders until the top of the Tourmalet. Later on the downhill he was able to recover and in the final 6km he made an acceleration!! His gap wasn't kept till the finish because of Evans attack, However the victory was going to LA-MSS! What a day for us!
with the battery crash the results couldn't be exported as well... sorry once more

Kloden took a stage but Menchov is going to destroy him. Anyone knows that he is better
Good luck for the rest of the mountains

I sure hope not!
Even though I have high expectations for this Tour this win has taken a lot of pressure and proved we can perform well among the other superstars.
The route of this Tour is mainly hilly, there are only about 5 more mountain stages in the way which benefits us more than other riders such as Andy or Contador!

Yep Astana has done a hell of a job in the off-season... they captured riders like Lovkvist and Vandevelde making themselves almost unreachable as a team!
