Yet another indication that Army won't be at the Tour:
Johan Bruyneel:
"Alberto comes for sure, but we're not sure about Lance [Armstrong] yet. But you have to know that the reason he's coming back is due to his mission on cancer. We can't say for sure about the Tour until we see how he goes in his first races at the Tour Down Under and the Tour of California. At this moment we'll design a programme to get him ready for the Giro d'Italia." |

Wiggins and Cavendish won't ride on the same team in 2009 - but it also seems like that they won't be riding together on the track. In the World Cup race in Manchester, Wiggins will ride with Geraint Thomas.
Paolo Bossoni has been given a 2 year ban. |

maybe its been said before, but I just found out the the Giro 2010 will start in Amsterdam then the 2nd stage is supposed to be Amsterdam - Roermond(Ruben?:) and the 3rd stage Roermand - Cauberg, some sort of Amsterl Gold Race
So the the Gran Tours next few year, we are good. 2009, Vuelta start, Assen. 2010, Tour start, Rotterdam / Utrecht, Giro 2010 start, A'dam +2 stages.
Could it get any better? |

Am I the only one that hates when say the Tour de France, or the Tour of Italy or the Tour of Spain, go outside their borders. How does the Tour of Italy go to Holland for a couple of stages. Or How does the Tour de France go to England for a couple of stages. I know they want to be able to show their race to people from around the world. But outside of traveling through another country for a part of a stage, or even finishing just across the border, would be the only thing that i would be okay with. I would still take enjoyment from the races, but i find it a bit irratating when they do stuff like this.

It's because they make big money on letting Holland get a couple of stages, and England and the Basque Country get a few stages.

I agree with you, yes. Neither do I see the point of the Vuelta coming to Assen, which is pretty north in Holland, and then let the riders do a couple of hours in a plane...
but still, I like it a lot
oh, and crue, we've had the WC already not too long ago, so we've gotta wait a few more years now for the next one unfortunatly XD |

News about Scott Sunderland who parted with Cervelo a few days ago. He says that he'll lead a great new cycling team in 2010. We won't reveil who's financing it, though, but it could very well be the new British cycling team which the president of the British cycling union have been talking about a few times, e.g. by saying that there'll most probably be a professional British team in Tour de France in 2010. |

The team previously called Mitsubishi - Jartazi will be called Revor - Jartazi in the next season. Vandenbroucke is rumoured to be on his way back to the team, but he denies it completely, saying that he's currently trying to start his own team. He has also been contacted by Rock Racing. |

Hey, Mr. Top 20 Mountain Biker, maybe you can impress a team and get signed to something. |
