So, British people, what do you think of your parliament at the moment?
I wish theyd saved the whole trying to be worse than each other thing for a few more months.
Theres growing calls for a new general election, but I cant vote til December so it needs to calm down for a bit!
I can't vote until May next year, so I'm hoping that too, but most of the public want one right now.
Things are such a mess though. I just really hope the BNP don't do well as a result of this in the European Elections, because people seem to be fed up of the corruption in the three "Westminster" parties (Labour, Conversative, Liberal Democrat).
The BNP got 2 seats. Our Country is now looking very right wing after the Conservatives and UKIP did so well also

Colombia sucks. An awful lot. Last polls for the presidential election: Santos (right wing politician) 34%. Mockus (center right, but at least not corrupt) 33%. Voting results: Santos 47%. Mockus 20%. Are they joking? How in the world it is possible such a difference between the polls and the real results?
How can someone refute people who say that in Colombia it is legitimate to join the guerrilla because there isn't possible to achieve anything by conventional democratic methods? I'm disgusted. And really angry.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this guy Mockus?
I read a short biography about him in a newspaper the other day. One of the most colorful politicans I have ever heard of. As the mayor of Bogotà he apperently got quite known for his various surprising and humoros initiatives. Once hired 420 mimers to make fun of drivers to reduce the amount of traffic accidents.
Anyway, to avoid being completely off-topic; what happens now? I think I heard someone say that as neighter of the candidates got an outright majority there will be a reelection on the 20th of June.

Yes indeed, he is. Pretty colorful and, to some people, weird. But he is honest. And honesty is not common in a Colombian politician. You are right, due to the fact that Santos didn't get 50%+1 vote of the votation, there will be another round. However, Santos will win again. Corruption in Colombia is amazing. You can give the equivalent of 20 US dollars to most people and they will vote according to your wishes. To make things worse. dead people vote (yes, they found a lot of registered IDs from people who is dead!), mentally handicapped people vote, disappeared people vote and so on. That's a total shame, because even with a 34-35% of vote intention according to last polls, Mockus got an unexplained 20%. That is not statistically probable, but nothing will happen.

Capitalism works to a certain extent, has some problems. It assumes that everything in the world can and will be solved by market functioning, supply and demand in the long term.
This is not the case in some things, and that's where things go wrong in a fully capitalist system.

I think you're confusing capitalism and liberalism here, though, of course, both are tied.
Changing the subject, did any other Brits watch Farage v Clegg(on Europe) on Beeb Two yesterday?
