oh I was not aware that they were continuing their sponsorship....I thought it odd that no one was talking about those riders needing contracts...thank you for clearing that up. |

no problemo
It's still early though, and a heck of a lot of riders still have an undetermined future.

Le Soir (a belgian newspaper) said that 4 of the 14 (remember 2 of 14 were at the olympics) of the suspected riders (today is the beginning of testing the urines of CERA etc.) are from Team CSC-Saxo Bank , it should be Sastre , Frank Schleck , Stuart O´Grady and Fabian Cancellara , they said that their sources are confidential but reliable

*edit
Gazzetta said of the 14: 5x CSC, SD(Ricco+2), 2x Gerolsteiner, 2x AG2R & 2x Columbia
but no idea how reliable it is

Probably not very if Columbia are included twice on the list

Gerolsteiner - Schumacher and Kohl
CSC - Cancellara, O'Grady, Sastre, Schleck, Schleck
Saunier - Cobo, Piepoli
AG2R - Goubert, Efimkin
Columbia - Kirchen, Siutsou
I'm guessing here

Just thought of something:
Popovych's good close friend Vladimir Bileka of Lotto retired in May all of a sudden without giving a reason for it....
He was also not old at all.
Weeeeeeird.

I'm pretty sure no suspensions are supposed to be allowed from these tests. I may be wrong, but I hope they get suspended.

I was gonna put him in there, but switched him with Goubert at the last second.
Weird that no Caisse riders are mentioned.

but surely their teams are just gonna look absolutely terrible if they keep them.. especially CSC with their bullshit "internal testing" program.
and surely it would be grounds for race organizers to stop them from riding

I'm guessing here I don't trust Goubert one single minute, but I'd rather say Valjavec instead. And Voigt instead of O'Grady.
Don't know about Siutsou, I just hope it's not Cavendish...
The rest seems logical. Would be a kick in Daamsgard's (sp?) butt and program.
edit : it would mean that :
- Evans wins the TDF ahead of Vande Velde and Menchov
- Freire still won the green jersey
- Voeckler (!) wins the polka dots jersey
- Kreuziger wins the white jersey.

The probability it's Cavendish is zero. I can confidently say that, and rest assured no one has ever tested positive that has made me go "I never saw this guy coming". Cavendish is one of the many I'm sure is not on CERA.
Anyway, why the hell would a sprinter need drugs for anaerobic efforts? if he was a classics rider as well, sure, but he's not. He's just a sprinter.

Siutsov seems to have been mentioned before in other allegations, so I would not be surprised, that said I'm surprised that Columbia would have anyone as I thought they had an external testing program. |
