Thanks - clearly one of his best races, especially considering that the field was packed with better riders.

Mercure Hotel Koeln West, Köln
Germany 14.6.2021
Rund um Köln
Köln – Köln 214.4 km
This is one of the most important races for Team Lotto - Kern Haus a top 10 result will be crucial.
A huge breakaway of 18 riders take of and for a moment Lotto - Kern Haus regret not having anyone in there, but the pack is quite fast bringing the distance down to around 2 minutes with more than 70 km left, now unlikely that the winner will be from the breakaway.
The morning breakaway
Only on rider crash in the race, sadly it is Team Lotto - Kern Haus’s Christian Koch, being an important piece of the team’s sprinter train.
He gets back quite fast, but off course closing a two-minute gap alone, will have an impact on his strength, later in the race.
Benjamin Thomas Groupama – FDJ with a late attack from 16 km, Christian Koch burns the last calories keeping the train close to the front, while the attack is neutralized.
Now Noah takes over and as 2nd last lead-out in the train, he opens the sprint from 2.6 km.
The timing is fine from both Noah and Joshua Huppertz kicking of Leslie Luhrs, but as we might expect the World Tour riders was strong over the final kilometer and came very fast from behind.
The race was won by Rüdiger Selig BORA – Hansgrohe in front of Ramon Sinkeldam Groupama – FDJ and Alexander Krieger Bike Aid
Leslie Luhrs finish 6th and Joshua Huppertz 8th.
Noah finish outside top 20 and won’t collect any bonus here, but he does not care at all, he was an important part of this successful 1.1 race and will gain a lot of respect from teammates and management, that is more important.
Rund um Köln prize money 540€
Earnings: | Race Share | Bonus | Total € | | Leslie Lührs | € 232 | € 300 | € 532 | | Joshua Huppertz | € 173 | € 300 | € 473 | | Noah Takaima | € 27 | | € 27 | | Christian Koch | € 27 | | € 27 | | Sven Zurawski | € 27 | | € 27 | | Jonathan Dinkler | € 27 | | € 27 | | Manuel Porzner | € 27 | | € 27 | |

Very good result in Köln considering it's a 1.1 race with many strong riders. Noah did a great job and deserves the respect from his team and teammates because he was important in two top-10 finishes of the team.
Also great to see Noah improving his skills.

No chance Noah would've gotten a good result at the ITT championships but at least he was able to visit his mother.

No, taking part of a race like this for a rider like Noah is only to get the experience.

Montra Hotel Sabro Kro, Sabro
Denmark 21.6.2021
N.C. Denmark road Race
Hammel – Hammel 209.9 km
Noah was somewhat starstruck sitting in the pack with world champion Mads Pedersen, Jakob Fuglsang, Kasper Asgreen, Søren Kragh Andersen, Magnus Cort, Christopher Juul Jensen, all the rider he had been following on TV for years.
Noah, Mads Pedersen, Kasper Asgreen and Jakob Fuglsang
The circuit very undulated especially a very steep narrow section, where Noah attempt to get to the front at every passing, knowing you could lose the race there.
The favorites haven’t got the teams to control the race and even though we see late attack for Mads Pedersen and others, they neutralize each other. Allowing the breakaway to win the race.
Rasmus Bøgh Wallin Riwal - Readynez Cycling Team becomes new Danish national champion.
2nd Mattias Skjelmose Jensen Leopard Pro Cycling 3rd Mathias Norsgaard Movistar Team
Noah holds on to the favorites group finishing 17th

Well done in Cologne and getting a stats upgrade. I wouldn't mind a switch to puncher training, or even back to cobblestones.

@Ripley: As mentioned will be options for changing long term training on a yearly basic (at least for some years to come) but if you are the only one wanting it, off course it will not happen.
As mentioned earlier there will soon be this option, that could offer a hybrid situation at least for a season, but as always with a cost:
(*) A top 12 result in “Oberösterreich Rundfahrt ” will open “winter training camp quest” in July. (sprint/cob upgrade if not signing with other teams and continue as “Stage Racer” for another year)

Lotto – Kern Haus headquaters, Weitersburg
Germany 25.6.2021
After the Danish National Championship Noah spend two days in Denmark with friends and family before flying back to Germany.
Today he was having the monthly meeting with Florian looking at the July schedule.
Florian: “Hi Noah, Come in and take a chair.”
Noah: “Hi”
Florian: “July will be quite a packed period. We got 6 stage races including Sénégal running from 27/6 to 3/7, and 4 classics including important GP Kranj”
Florian hand over the list of races.
Florian: “Won’t be much choice for you, we simply had to fill in the rider we wanted, without any of you involved. You will race two 2.2 races and one 2.2U23 race.
In the two adult stage races our partner TWZK ( www.wtzk.de) have provided us with some nice bonuses.”
Stage: win €40 Stage Podium €20
GC: Win €300, Podium €200, Top 5 €120, Top 10 €60
KoM/Points win €100
Florian: “In Venezuela the time trail most likely a bit to flat and long for you, but lets see if you can do something on the harder stages or go for the KoM”
Noah: “I will do my best”
Florian: In Alsace, unless we got the Yellow Jersey after stage one, something that seems quite unlikely, It is logical to go for the KoM. The Team must attempt to get a rider in the breakaway at all stages with KoM points.
Noah: Do you want me to go for the KoM.
Florian: Yes! If you will be allowed to, if not someone else.
Florian: In U23 mountain race Giro Ciclistico della Valle d'Aosta, Sporthilfe Rheinland-Pfalz have kindly sponsored some very fine bonuses:
Stage: win €120 Stage Podium €80 Stage top 10 €40
GC: Win €550, Podium €300, Top 5 €220, Top 10 €110, Top 20 €50
KoM/Points win €200
Florian: In this race I believe the KoM should not be your prime goal, it is important that you aim higher, going for the best possible GC position. Adapting for this kind of hard mountains.

I was just thinking out loud about HIL training, because it looks like a gap between Noah's MON and COB. Or maybe forget about HIL entirely and one day win Paris-Roubaix and the Mont Ventoux Challenge in one year! Some SPR is also useful, of course.
Valle d'Aosta will be tough, there are probably better natural climbers around. Noah will have to manage his energy reserves smartly.
